IRONY ALERT! Protesters Brave Frigid Temps to Fight Global Warming

Sometimes pictures are great at showing the irony of a situation. Thousands of global warming moonbats braved the frigid cold yesterday to protest Obama's inaction on global warming, and to urge him to reject the Keystone pipeline.
Organizers of the "Forward on Climate" event estimated that 35,000 people from 30 states turned out in cold, blustery conditions for what they said was the biggest climate rally in U.S. history. Police did not verify the crowd size.

Protesters also marched around the nearby White House, chanting "Keystone pipeline? Shut it down." Among the celebrities on hand were actresses Rosario Dawson and Evangeline Lilly, and hedge fund manager and environmentalist Tom Steyer.

The event came days after a bipartisan group of U.S. senators made the latest call for Obama to approve the $5.3 billion pipeline, seen by many as an engine for job growth and another step toward energy independence.

The Global Warming hoaxers will claim it's wrong to use one weather event to knock down their theory that the Earth is about to be burned to a crisp, the poles melted and the recipe for good egg salad will be lost, but on the other hand it is those same people who claim hurricane sandy or the blizzard of 2013 were the result of global warming. They can't have it both ways.

While they were outside freezing and we were inside burning fossil fuels to stay warm, there was good reading about the global warming hoax to be enjoyed. For example the British Met office, one of the leading proponents of the warming hoax leaking word that the world hasn't gotten any warmer for 16 years.

But none of that matters to these global warming lemmings, they went to listen to Van Jones (who is a 9/11 truther) about global warming.  Some of them even dressed in Polar Bear Costumes (perhaps to keep them warm in the frigid weather). It couldn't be because the polar bear population is in danger. After all like the temperature warnings, the rumors  of a decrease in the polar bear population are false. These animals have been thriving and their populations growing.
Experts have been saying for years that Global Warming was decimating the polar bear population at the Arctic Circle, but a surprising find in a new book, ‘Never Look a Polar Bear in the Eye’, shows there are more polar bears alive today than in the last 40 years.
A hunting ban was put in place in 1972 as hunting was drastically reducing the population. Worldwide it’s estimated there are 25,000 polar bears living mostly on the northwest coast of Alaska, Canada, Greenland, the northern Russian coast and islands of the Norwegian coast. Polar bears came to the forefront when former Vice President Al Gore featured them in his global warming film ‘An Inconvenient Truth’, but the truth is, polar bears are doing just fine.

One of Sunday's main organizers, climate activist Bill McKibben, said that approving the pipeline, which would transport crude oil from the oil sands of northern Alberta to refineries and ports in Texas, would be akin to lighting a "carbon bomb" that could cause irreparable harm to the climate.
"For 25 years our government has basically ignored the climate crisis: now people in large numbers are finally demanding they get to work," said McKibben, founder of the environmental group 350.org.
Actually the Keystone pipeline would be more like a job bomb, providing thousands of additional jobs in construction an refining the new energy. It would also help to stabilize oil prices which will enable companies that use fossil fuels (that would be almost all of them) to count on cheaper energy for years to come.

While the protesters yesterday were out in the frigid cold supporting a hoax, there was one benefit to their efforts, they were outside getting some exercise. It's just a good thing they were all bundled up.
