Heh! Former POTUS Bubba About Foundation Donors, 'No One Has Ever Asked Me For Anything'

With his wife's credibility ratings sinking because of the Clinton Foundation, and emails scandals, former president Bubba Clinton has gone on the offense to fight for his wife's reputation (and future post presidential income).

Bill, a much better "retail politician" than his wife, sat down with Jake Tapper for an interview which will appear on Sunday's "State of the Union" on CNN. He said the allegations that donors to the Clinton Foundation received a quid pro quo from the State Department when Hillary was secretary of State were not true, they were simply political.
“Nobody even suggested it or thought about it or talked about it until the political season began, and somebody said, ‘Well, what about this?’,”

No one has ever asked him for anything, Clinton said, adding that he does not know if those companies were seeking favor from his wife’s position as secretary of state. Political partisans and investigative journalists have not found anything particularly odious, apart from what “Clinton Cash” author Peter Schweizer deemed as a “smoking gun” in the pattern of behavior.

“I don’t know. You never know what people’s motives are, but in this case, I’m pretty sure that everybody that gave to Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquake saw what they saw on television, were horrified and wanted to make a difference,” he said, adding that he did not “think Hillary would know either.”
Before you believe or disbelieve what former President Bubba said to protect his wife, remember that he was the only president in the history of this great republic to be disbarred for committing perjury while commander-in-chief.
