Code Pink Moonbattery Prevented, Glenn Beck Brings the CPAC House Down

The rumors started about an hour before Glenn Beck was scheduled to speak, Sarah Palin was going to show up to introduce Beck. There was no way that was going to happen, Palin was not going to do a Cameo, it just didn't make sense.  Glenn Beck didn't bring Palin along, but he did bring his "A" game (and his blackboard) as CPAC 2010 ended with a presentation that left the audience electrified and ready to act.

Even before he arrived Beck's presence was in the Blogger's lounge. In recognition of the fact that his opinions are not too popular with certain elements, security was tightened in the Blogger's lounge. There was easy access from the lounge to the ballroom so understandably for the first time all week we were required to show our badges to get into the room. Even the congressional candidates who were working the Blogger's lounge were banned.

But somehow Medea Benjamin code pink nut-job got into the Blogger's lounge without credentials and sped down the steps only to be thrown out by blogger Caleb Howe. (The man escorting Medea Benjamin is Tighe Barry, last seen working with Hamas in Gaza for Code Pink’s Gaza Freedom March)

The Moonbattery prevented, the show began and it was masterful. Beck monologue was part school room (yes the blackboard was there), part revival meeting, part comedy routine, and all truth (video below). He rejected the Democratic party establishment and had even harsher words for the Republican Party establishment. But there is still time for either party to fix things.
"It is still morning in America," Beck said. "It just happens to be kind of a head-pounding, vomiting-for-four-hours morning in America."
“Dick Cheney a couple days ago… says it is going to be a good year for conservative ideas…It is going to be a very good year. But it is not enough just to not suck as much as the other side.”

Beck talked about Tiger Woods speech yesterday, not as a lampoon but the fact that Woods admitted his wrongdoing. He talked about recovery from alcoholism saying that if he wasn't allowed to epically fail and admit his failure, he would have never successfully recovered. Beck said that the GOP needed to take the same path. "I have not heard people in the Republican Party yet admit they have a problem,"adding that he's waiting for a "come-to-Jesus" moment.

But all is not lost;

"We are going to go through some tough times, and we are going to be tired as we set things straight. It is a hard road, I know, I have walked it myself. It is a hard road. But we will make it. And at night, we will be beat tired. We will be so tired."

"But when we put our head down on our pillow to go to sleep again that night," he continued, "we can be happy because we know tomorrow it will again be morning in America."
Honestly the words do not give his presentation justice, because Glenn Beck is the consummate showman.  The passion of his beliefs come through best when you combine the visual the intonation and the words. Watch the video below.

I don't understand why everyone else had to show their credentials, yet someone like that, who is easily recognizable to anyone who pays attention, got through. Doesn't make sense.

Caleb is a HEEERO! :)

Great read, thank you for posting! It must have been an amazing and enriching experience to attend the CPAC this year.
