HOW ABSURD!: The World Reacts to Gaza and the Negev

The title song of the Cole Porter Musical Anything Goes provides the perfect description of what is going on in the Middle East today:

The world has gone mad today
And good's bad today,

That women prize today
Are just silly gigolos

I just can't conceive of any other way to describe it, ever since this supposed "cease-fire" with the ruling parties of the PA, Fatah and Hamas, each of the terrorist organizations have been firing rockets into Negev communities. The leaders of each organization has incited and ordered violence against Israelis. Senior members of both Hamas and Fatah have said that their ultimate goal is the destruction of Israel. Through it all Israel has not retaliated. Olmet, along with the rest of the world, has decided that Abbas, the Fatah leader is a "good terrorist", a Moderate. This is despite the fact that he has ordered the firing of rockets at places like Sderot also.

The last three days over seventy rockets have hit towns in the Negev by Hamas. Scores of people have been injured, many seriously. Israel has started to fight back, unlike the scum firing the rockets, the IDF is not targeting civilians, but military installations.

With this as a background, you look at some of the comments by governemtns and you have to wonder are these people idiots or do they just think we are?

You gotta love it ! Hamas controls the PA Government . The Arab league is pushing to include Hamas in with any negotiations--and Mubarak announces that no way Hamas will make peace. Er.. Mister Egyptian dictator sir, why are you wasting our freeking time?

Don't worry folks you haven't missed anything, the absurdity of the reactions to what is going on in the middle east today will continue as long as there is conflict in the middle east.
