Olmert YOU ARE NO BEN-GURION

OK Granted I have been fighting pneumonia for the better (or worse) part of a week. But this one almost got away from me. Did Ehud Olmert actually use his name and the Name of Ben-Gurion in the same sentence.

David Ben-Gurion was right in accepting the United Nations' plan to create two states for two peoples 60 years ago, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Monday.
"There is no other alternative to that decision," Olmert said at a Knesset event marking the 60 anniversary of the UN decision. "Israel deserves credit from the world for accepting the partition while the Arab world rejected it, setting off a two-year war after Israel declared its independence six months later."

Olmert told his Kadima faction he was committed to working toward the establishment of a Palestinian state, saying the Annapolis peace summit was the "the right and just" step to take

There is no other alternative to that decision," Olmert said at a Knesset event marking the 60 anniversary of the UN decision. "Israel deserves credit from the world for accepting the partition while the Arab world rejected it, setting off a two-year war after Israel declared its independence six months later."
Now I am no historian, but I have read alot about Ben-Gurion, he was a hero of mine but I can till you olmert is NO Ben-Gurion . Ben -Gurion led a nascent army against some of the strongest armies of the world. Victory was won with guile, a will to win ad strong leadership at the top. Omlert is spineless and doesn't have the leadership ability of one of Ben Gurion pinkies.

Ben Gurion Coveted Jerusalem for Israel:
The attempt to sever Jewish Jerusalem from the State of Israel," warned Ben-Gurion in 1949, "will not advance the cause of peace in the Middle East or in Jerusalem itself. Israelis will give their lives to hold on to Jerusalem, just as the British would for London, the Russians for Moscow and the Americans for Washington.

Olmert wants to give Jerusalem back to the Palestinians.

Actually all the problems with Israel can all be point toward a lack of leaders Ben-Guruon , Eshklol, even Golda Meier. What we are left with is politicians---- without backgrounded--- not a leader among them. And that is a sad sad state.
