Tea Parties, Passover and Pharaoh Obama's Police State

At first it made me angry, according to Jewish Law non-Jews are not supposed to attend Passover Seders and the President was hosting one. Then it became a Joke, "Do you know that when President Obama became the first President to host a Seder, it also was the first time that Pharaoh hosted a Seder?"

Today is Tax Day, Tea Party day as well as the 7th day of Passover the day Jews celebrate our final break with the Pharaoh's Oppression by crossing through the Reed Sea (not a typo, the Torah calls it Yam Suf, which means sea of reeds).

Allow me to suggest that the Image of President Obama as Pharaoh, and the Tea Parties that will take place throughout the country later today on the anniversary of the Israelites' throwing off the yoke of oppression are inextricably linked.

Each day it becomes clearer that our government is ignoring the Constitution of the United States of America and even worse they are ignoring the reason for the constitution:
"The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government." Patrick Henry
The Government's addiction to spending and over-taxation that will be protested across the United States today is merely a symptom. The real problem is that our elected leaders, are becoming oppressors not representatives, government is encroaching on every part of our lives instead of clearing the way for us to live our lives in peace and with equal opportunity. While this all started years ago, the present Democratic Party-lead government has taken it to new heights.

Our President blames the previous administration for overspending, this is true, but he has doubled the deficit of his predecessor. Something not discussed often because the formerly free press has simply become a propaganda arm of the current ruling party.

Like some Orwellian nightmare, the President and his party have made up the tale that the entire blame for the present recession should be on the heads of the opposition party, while many in his party fought regulation of the housing market.

Those who dare to have contrary opinions run the risk of being silenced. Our President, and other senior members of his administration, has personally attacked those in the media who have disagreed with him. And according to some reports, his Chief of Staff, an ABC Reporter and a full political team have a conference call each morning to determine who to attack next. What is most frightening is rather than listen to the reasons, people are protesting today, our Government, and the media they control, mock us. This is not the America I know.
“The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions that I wish it to be always kept alive.” Thomas Jefferson
Our department of Homeland Security is now warning police departments to keep an eye on our Heroes who come home from war, lest they be unduly influenced by right wing nuts; defined as people who disagree with the President.

The President is looking to seal his rise to power by having the Census Bureau count those who are not in the country illegally, which will result in congressional seats being moved to areas that favor his party. To seal the deal he is looking to grant amnesty to those who broke the law to come to this country.

We must protest against the taxes and the spending while recognizing that we must also resist the growing control over our lives. We used to fight terrorists, now we fight our own corporations. The President of the United States is firing executives. The Treasury secretary is setting peoples salaries. Obama is also determining product lines, not based on the market place but on the whims of politics. The President of the United States is looking to artificially raise the cost of energy with cap and trade, while ignoring our own resources.

Soon the President will be pushing through his health plan and just like Pharaoh he will determine who lives and who dies, whose life-saving medical treatment is too expensive, who is too old to warrant being saved.

Yes America, today we protest, taxes and spending, but this must not be the end. Just like the Hebrews did at the Reed Sea, we must make this the beginning. We must keep up the fight to retain our liberty, lest soon we may not be allowed to fight at all.

It's not at all-out-of-the-question that the 2009 Tea Party participants might someday be respected by history as patriots who made a difference- same as 1773. And this sort of public outrage might be just what's needed to break through the media's disingenuous, manufactured reality.

Barack Obama is rapidly liquidating everything that made this country great... and needs to be put back-on-his-heels with a major embarrassment that puts an end to the myth that everybody just loves Barack and his wacked-out agenda... because millions of us DON'T.

Great article. The only think I might add is information on Obama's proposed "brown shirts", how domestic security force, or whatever he's calling it now. Seems very interesting that the DHS document comes out right before the TEA parties, Obama's speech yesterday, ...

If he can make all the TEA protesters and their supporters to be "right wing radicals", at some point he will have to deal with them. What better to use than his own personal brown shirts??? Sounds conspiratorial, but ...

There is an exception to a non-Jew being at a Seder. They are there to remind them that they too were slaves unto Pharaoh, and the Lord redeem them from his bondage.

It is too bad that today we have a Pharaoh trying to enslave us all.

Excellent post. If I may humbly cite something I posted with regard to last week's White House seder:

Obama has proven to be against freedom, as demonstrated by last week’s humiliating apology tour in Europe and the Middle East, during which he accused his own country of “arrogance,” not once acknowledging that it has first and foremost been America that has paid in blood and treasure to save half of Europe from the jackboot of Nazism and Soviet communism.

Obama has demonstrated continuously he has been against freedom in Iraq, showing with his votes as Senator and rhetoric as presidential candidate that he much preferred 25 million Iraqis suffer under their “Pharaoh” Saddam Hussein.

Obama has proven to be against freedom from Islamic terrorism in Israel and—given every resolution he’s passed so far, from the springing of G’tmo terrorists to the eradication of the term “war on terror,” —in the U.S. as well.

Obama has proven to be against the freedom that results from a vibrant free-market capitalist system. Instead, he prefers to impose state-controlled centralized freedom-suppressing regulations at all levels of our economy.

Obama has proven to be against the freedom of the millions of people who comprise the population of Cuba, Iran, and North Korea. He’d rather appease the “Pharaohs” of these nations than confront them.

In short, President Obama is the last person to attend a Passover seder, let alone host one. Unlike George W. Bush before him, President Obama doesn't know the first thing about freedom.

Another great article, Sammy.

I have to wonder, though, how far a resistance movement might be with half the population willing to kowtow to whatever Bama says we must do - and too few in this country (on either side of the divide) have known true hardship and can acknowledge the fact that freedom and liberties come at a price: Sometimes a price some are unwilling to bear.

I am heartbroken at the state of our nation and what has been allowed to become of it. I fear this all will not end well.
