New Harry Reid Comic Relief "Stupidity And The Horse He Rode In On"

There is a bright side to Harry Reid's  reelection, lets face it the guy is always good for comic relief. During the campaign it seemed as if he made a gaffe a week. There was the the campaign ad he created to bash opponent Sharon Angle which unintentionally  slammed Progressive Democratic Congresswoman Dina Titus.

Then there was the interview where Reid was asked the greatest living American but he picked two dead guys. And don't forget he also claimed that President Obama was just like the Chilean miners, or when Harry appeared on the Ed Schultz show and claimed that he personally saved the world from a worldwide depression.

"So people have been hurting," Reid said. "And I understand that. And it doesn't give them comfort or solace for me to tell them, you know, but for me, we'd be in a worldwide depression. They want to know what I have done for them."
Since the election we haven't heard much from Reid, at least in the way of really dumb statements, but never one to disappoint, Harry let one loose today as he grabbed the Senate floor to complain about the mean spirited GOP Senate bill.
“The mean-spirited bill, H.R. 1, eliminates National Public Broadcasting," said Reid in a floor speech. "It eliminates the National Endowment of the Humanities, National Endowment of the Arts. These programs create jobs. The National Endowment of the Humanities is the reason we have in northern Nevada every January a cowboy poetry festival. Had that program not been around, the tens of thousands of people who come there every year would not exist.

OMG!!! Tens of thousand of people would not exist.  I wonder if it would happen the way it was shown in Back To The Future. You know, first their pictures would fade and then they would fade.

Look I understand that in an era of $14+ Trillion national debt, funding for the National Endowment of the Arts should be a low priority compared to things like social security and defense, but folks, Harry Reid says Tens of Thousands of people will not exist without that funding, and he is the Senate Majority Leader (God save us all).
