Remember a few months ago when the Pope said some things about Islam that weren't excatly "Politically Correct?"At that time Anjem Choudary stood outside of Westminster Cathederal and said those who insulted Islam would be "subject to capital punishment". And called for the Ponitff to be "whacked"
All signs point to the fact that time Anjem Choudary has moved to Israel, converted to and become a Rabbinic Scholar. The Jerusalem Post reports that a bunch of extremist Rabbis issued a halachic opinion saying that that Maj. General Yair Naveh OC Central Command deserved to be killed.
The rabbis, all of whom are connected with a movement to resurrect the Sanhedrin, the ancient Jewish governing body, said in their halachic decision that Naveh is guilty of the crime of "moser", a Hebrew term that can be roughly translated as an informant or traitor. The literal meaning is someone who transfers another's property or person to enemy authorities.
The rabbis see the present government as the equivalent of a gentile enemy force that "evilly and violently expels and causes mental and physical damage to Jews". Maimonides in his Mishneh Torah rules that "it is permitted to kill a Jewish 'moser' anywhere, even today when rabbinic courts are not permitted to decide on capital punishment matters". Maimonides stipulates that the death penalty is given even if the person is not presently involved in traitorous actively but is expected to do so again in the future.
Naveh's treason is his decision to sign restraining orders against about 20 male residents of Judea and Samaria. The orders prohibit these men from returning to their homes and families indefinitely. The IDF said that the restraining orders, which were issued without a trial within the framework of administrative army orders, have prevented clashes between settlers and Palestinian.
However, the rabbis said the restraining orders are part of Naveh's plan to "prepare settlements in Judea and Samaria for transfer to the enemy. Abandoning these places to foreigners endangers Jewish lives," write the rabbis
In the halachic decision, which is personally addressed to Naveh, a religious Jew, the rabbis accused the army commander of transgressing the prohibition "to passively stand by while your brother is killed".
Rabbi Israel Ariel, head of the Temple Institute and a former IDF rabbi, signed the decision together with Rabbis Reuven Hass, Yehuda Edri and Ido Elbo. Hillel Weiss a Professor of Hebrew literature at Bar Ilan University also signed.
Rabbi Ya'acov Ariel, Chief Rabbi of Ramat Gan and Israel Ariel's brother, said in response that he had nothing to do with his brother."That decision is not based on halacha," said Ariel. "It was politically motivated."
However, Rabbi Yishai Babad, secretary of the Yesha Rabbinic Council, whose members include Rabbi Elyakim Levanon of Elon Moreh and Rabbi Dov Lior of Kiryat Arba-Hebron, said that the halachic decision against Naveh was accurate in principle.Come On doesn't it sound like time Anjem Choudary is one of those Rabbis? I ask you has anybody seen Choudary and any of those Halachic Scholars at the same place at the same time?
"But Yesha rabbis would not issue such a decision for fear some hothead might get the wrong idea and try to take the law into his own hands."Weiss said that he and the rabbis who issued the decision against Naveh had no intention of advocating murder."We just hope that Naveh will wake and stop his criminal activities."
