UN is Investigating United States For Racism

Here's is another reminder of what makes the United Nations the ridiculous organization that it is:
A special U.N. human rights investigator will visit the United States this month to probe racism, an issue that has forced its way into the race to secure the Democratic Party's presidential nomination.

The United Nations said Doudou Diene would meet federal and local officials, as well as lawmakers and judicial authorities during the May 19-June 6 visit.

"The special rapporteur will...gather first-hand information on issues related to racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance," a U.N. statement said on Friday. Source

Now on one hand I got very upset at the UN, THEY ARE INVESTIGATING THE UNITED STATES??? THE MOST FREE NATION IN THE WORLD?????!!!
Jeff Emanuel said this on his blog:

This "rapporteur" is a "Senegalese lawyer who has served...since 2002" as a representative of the U.N. Human Rights Council -- an organization that has previously condemned the U.S. for several perceived violations of its standards for the Western world (not to be confused with its lack of standards for countries that it knows won't listen to it anyway). Clearly, life in Senegal is so idyllic and free of problems that Mr. Diene is on excellent footing to be looking into the United States' affairs.

Mr. Diene, by the way, is the same Captain Obvious who presented the UNHRC with a report last year complaining that "Islamophobia had grown worldwide since the September 11 2001 attacks on the United States."

No freaking kidding. Thanks for that, Mr. Diene. By the way, I sincerely doubt that the word "phobia" applies when it is a skepticism, and willingness to deal with, an actual threat -- not that such a distinction would likely be able to work its way through the nice, thick walls of your Turtle Bay-based Ivory Tower.

Oh, and I doubt that your being from a Muslim country had any bearing on your perception regarding -- and sensitivity toward -- the fact that the sentient world actually does realize that nearly all of those behind terrorism are, in fact, Muslim.
Beyond the anger at the UN, you notice that this story wasn't covered by the MSM? Do you think it's because the investigation was inaugurated in response to the DEMOCRATIC primaries?

YWL,

I'll try another post since an earlier one was prevented by google. I'll shorten this one to a link to another attempt by the UN to grab unlawful authority over US sovereignty.

It is the people within our own government (and institutions participating with them) who need to be tried, convicted and punished for unlawfully ceding authority to the UN.
