al-Makiki Sounds More Like McCain than Obama

The Media is still going ga-ga about their heroes trip to Iraq. The headlines all over are screaming, al-Maliki calls for 2010 withdrawal affirming Barack Obama. Folks that is HOGWASH.

First of all let me remind ya'll that the Junior Senator from Illinois did not even discuss his withdrawal plan with al-Maliki

"This issue, we do not discuss ... ," spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh told reporters when asked if Obama had brought up the 16-month timeframe.

"Obama did not speak about anything which concerns the Iraqi government because he does not have any official (government) capacity."

Secondly what the Prime Minister said was that he would like the US Troops out in two years but THAT DEPENDS ON THE FACTS ON THE GROUND. Hello, is anybody listening? That sounds a hell of a lot more like Mc Cain's Position than Senator Obama. Obama is the guy saying we are getting out in 16 months come hell or high water. McCain is saying as soon as possible but it depends on the facts on the ground.

But of course the media is spinning it to sound like Obama's position. Maybe that's why 49% of the public thinks the media is going out of their way to help Obama win (vs. 24% who say reporting is unbiased).
