This coming Monday, there will be a rally in front of the United Nations to protest the fact that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will be bringing his murderous arse to the UN later that week. Both Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin were on the Speakers list for the rally, well until this morning.
In a move reminiscent of a fifth grader in a school yard, Senator Clinton has pulled out of the rally appearance because Governor Palin Will be there. COME ON HILLARY ! If you truly support the issue, you should be HAPPY that the rally has an Additional prominent speaker. Instead you are acting like a child. YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SEEN WITH HER? What's about fighting against an Iranian President who wants to NUKE Israel?
According to Hillary's camp she didn't know that the rally would involve "Partisan Politics." I guess if only the Democratic Party is represented its OK, but IF BOTH parties send someone to show their support for the anti-Ahmadinejad rally, its PARTISAN. How stupid ! Read this from the JPost:
Clinton pulls out of anti-Iran rally
Sep. 17, 2008
HILARY LEILA KRIEGER and AP , THE JERUSALEM POSTSenator Hillary Rodham Clinton has canceled an appearance at an anti-Iran rally in New York next week after organizers blindsided her by inviting Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, aides to the senator said Tuesday.
Several American Jewish groups have planned a major rally outside the United Nations on Sept. 22 to protest against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's threats against Israel and his planned speech on the floor of the UN later in the week.
Organizers had said Tuesday that both Clinton, who nearly won the Democratic nomination for president, and Palin, Republican candidate John McCain's running mate, were expected to attend.
That would have set up a closely scrutinized and potentially explosive pairing in the midst of a presidential campaign, one in which the New York senator is campaigning for Democratic nominee Barack Obama while Palin actively courts disappointed Clinton supporters.
Clinton aides were furious. They first learned of the plan to have both Clinton and Palin appear when informed by reporters.
"Her attendance was news to us, and this was never billed to us as a partisan political event," said Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines. "Sen. Clinton will therefore not be attending."
A McCain-Palin campaign official, speaking on condition of anonymity because Palin's schedule for Monday has not been announced, said only that Palin tentatively planned to attend the rally.
Malcolm Hoenlein, executive vice chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, did not immediately return messages Tuesday seeking comment, nor did other organizers of the rally. Other event sponsors are the National Coalition to Stop Iran Now, United Jewish Communities and the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York.
Both McCain and Obama have made strong appeals to Jewish voters, particularly in critical states like Florida. Obama has emphasized to Jewish audiences his commitment to Israel's security, and has worked to dispel doubts created by false rumors that he is Muslim.

I posted the same comment on LGF:

Huh, so Clinton can attend and it is non-partisan, but if a Republican is there to represent the other party, it.....becomes "partisan" ? ? ? ?
What disturbs me is that the organizers did not extend an invitation to Sen. Biden! Gov. Palin is the VP nominee of her party and not to extend an invitation to Sen. Biden, one of Israel's strongest supporters, is playing partisan politics. Sen Clinton is not a VP candidate, Gov. Palin and Sen. Biden are, so they now give the appearance of playing partisan politics. Quite frankly the organizers of this event have let themselves be used by the Republican party and they need to rectify this mistake by extending an invitation to Sen Biden ASAP!
If you want to hear what Obama believes on Israel listen to his former Pastor Rev. Wright. It will scare you. They are not friends of Israel.
Arnold thank you for your comment, but you are wrong, Biden at best has been inconsistant on Israel but even more important as the Senator from NY Clinton SHOULD be There
the democratic Party just lost the Jewish Vote. and what I'm wondering is why Hillary is still in the Democratic party.

This is a rally to support the safety and freedom of Israel. Not abortion, not social security. Both Palin and Clinton see eye to eye on the matter of this rally, vehemently support Israel and yet Clinton and her staff make the infantile choice in this.
It makes one question Clinton's conviction when it comes to her support since it is greatly difficult to be next to someone for three hours who shares the same opinion, but carries a different party allegiance.
It would have been something new in politics to see the two of them speak on the barbaric oppression of women in radical Islam.
