Rabbis Should Stay Out of Politics It Can Make Them Look STUPID

Oh Boy, the Stupid Fairy must be very busy. A group of over 560 Rabbis, members of a group called "Rabbis for Obama" have attacked Senator McCain and the Republican Jewish Congress for their recent attacks on Senator Obama:

A pro-Obama group of rabbis says recent statements by the McCain-Palin campaign are “creeping toward hate speech.”

In a statement released Thursday, the group of 562 rabbis said that “increasingly those speaking on behalf of the McCain campaign have been demonizing Senator Obama as not being like us.”

As an example, the organization notes that a sherriff recently emphasized Barack Obama’s middle name of Hussein when warming up the crowd at a campaign rally and that Palin recently said Obama has been “palling around with terrorists.”

Sorry Rabbis, you have made another mistake, You see, he is different then us. It has been proved that he lied about Ayers, Acorn, Rezko, Wright. They aren't casual acquaintances they are Alliances that the Senator Picked for his self. Wasn't Lot criticized by the sages for picking city to live that had so many bad people? When we were beating our breast during Yom Kippur, didn't one of the sins include lying? So are you Rabbi's saying that lying is OK when you are a liberal Senator running for President?

The statement criticizes the Republican Jewish Coalition for putting “forward a list of people known to be hostile to Israel” and then “dishonestly” suggesting that these people shaped Obama’s views on the subject. “The RJC approach harkens back to the classic Republican red baiting tactics of Joe McCarthy and Richard Nixon from the early fifties,” the group said in a statement.

Actually Rabbis ALL OF THESE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN. Some of them are Anti-Israel others are Anti-Semitic AND Anti-Israel'

  • Then there is Merrill A. McPeak. He said that the only reason there is not Mid-East peace in the world is American Jews.
  • Daniel Kurtzer, an Orthodox Jew, was one of Secretary of State James " F**K the Jews" Baker's team of Anti-Israel "Jew Boys."
  • Joe Cirincione thought that talk of a Syrian Nuclear in the desert was nonsense. Immediately following Israel's air raid this past September, Cirincione listed "Israelis [who] want to thwart any dialogue between the U.S. and Syria" as among those spreading rumors Syria was constructing a nuclear facility.
  • How about Senator Hagel who went with Obama on his little trip to Israel. He is one of the two or three MOST Anti-Israel Senators.
  • How about the Candidate himself When he was running for Senate, he had the same problem, being "tarnished by the opinion of others:

I guess none of that matters to the 500 Plus Rabbis on the list. Maybe if they spent more time on Torah and less time being political pawns for the left this world would be much better off. Below is the list of Rabbis who have allowed themselves to become political Kappos for a Lying, Anti-Israel Political Candidate. I hope yours is not on the list:

Why is it so necessary for these rabbis to have to state their political preferences? How about not saying anything and let their congregants support the candidate of their choice. Did it ever occur to them that maybe there are members of their congregations who support McCain?

Every American Rabbi is also an American citizen. Every citizen has earned the right to vote. Every Rabbi has earned the right, and bears the responsibility, to speak out against injustice.

One that stands silent while his country is being hijacked by the mindless forces of imposed order, MUST speak out against it. Each Rabbi also MUST support that which creates a more liberated society.

That is precisely why I added my voice to those of the Rabbis in support of Barak Obama as president.

A Jew who doesn't speak out against fascism becomes a tool of that dark movement. And we all remember what happened when the same forces were unleashed in Europe last century.

Rabbis for Obama -- an oxymoron.

I know a number of these Rabbis personally and have knowledge of many others (being a Rabbi's son has it's (dis)advantages). Every single one is either very, very liberal (Reform, Reconstructionist, Humanist), so the idea that tey are "Rabbis" in any sense of the word is comical. There are some Conservative Rabbis on the list but it's more than likely they are more ideologically leftists as well.

You will notice that no Orthodox Rabbis (including in the Chicago area, which has a large Orthodox community) are represented.

It is my belief that the more religious a Rabbi, the more unlikely he would fall for the Obama-shtick. The Rabbis who are listed are not serious about true Torah study and therefore are more apt to justify their ideology.

The point is NOT to attack the Shmita of one of the people above that is divisive. The point is to hold their feet to the fire and make them be consistent, and truthful.

You say we should not attack the sh'mitah. All well and good. Meanwhile, the second Hitler is preparing the second Holocaust, and our best friend on either national ticket gets slapped down by our "leaders" for wanting to express support for our continued existence. I wonder if there is enough t'shuvah in the world to overcome such a sin - and yet our "leaders" are proud of what they did. I cry inside when I think of the disgust with which our Creator must see our community and the "leaders" we have raised up for ourselves, reflecting our own self-loathing attitudes. We know the terrible manifestations of judgment 2000 years ago. Will history repeat itself? Have we done anything to acquit ourselves better this time around? I am skeptical. Barukh Hashem, Dayan Ha-Emeth. (Blessed is the Lord, the true Judge [or Judge of the truth].)
