"Moreover, the only way to deal with Islamic terrorists is the same way in which they deal with their victims. Muslims believe in the literal interpretation of the Biblical doctrine of an eye for an eye, and they do not have respect for anything perceived as a lesser standard of justice. They killed our innocents, and unless we kill theirs, they will go on killing ours. The Torah, however, preaches a doctrine which, if implemented by the West, could finally put an end to all Islamic terror: If somebody is coming to kill you, rise up and kill him first. While the paragraph WAS poorly worded, it was not "Calls for violence against innocent civilians" as CAIR complained, it was just the terrorist-connected group's standing procedure, intimidate people into silence.
Thankfully, the 5TJT was not intimidated, today they published a biting editorial calling on CAIR to renounce terrorism and the Muslim Brotherhood:
A CAIR Package
By Larry Gordon
The organization known as CAIR has publicly called upon Jewish leaders to condemn a recent article published by the Five Towns Jewish Times about how to deal with the rising incidence of Islamist terrorism. CAIR (the Council on American-Islamic Relations) is an interesting organization. They view themselves as "similar to a kind of Muslim NAACP." Truthfully, it does often denounce the idea of "terrorism" whenever Islamic fundamentalists engage in public terrorist acts. Yet at the same time, not once has CAIR ever denounced Muslim killers who act in the name of Islam. Nor has CAIR ever called for a reevaluation of the hate that many Islamic fundamentalists feel toward Jews or any other non-Muslims.
The editorial staff of the Five Towns Jewish Times decries the notion of any support of terrorism, and we fully support the United States government's War on Terrorism. As an Orthodox Jewish weekly, the 5TJT also rejects the demonization of Muslims, both in this country and abroad. If any such implication of supporting the terrorization or murder of innocent Muslims who do not support terrorists or terrorist activities was made by an article in the 5TJT, it was due simply to a poor choice of wordsa slip of the author's pen, if you will. Read in its entirety, the article is clearly conveying the message that members of a community that supports terrorists and allows them to remain in its midst should not expect to escape retaliation. At the same time, the 5TJT calls upon CAIR to unequivocally denounce all of its past and current support of and for Islamist terrorism, whether that support be direct or remote. We call upon CAIR to denounce Muslim killers who act in the name of Islam, and we call upon CAIR to denounce and call for a halt of the hatred of Jews and non-Muslims that many Muslims proclaim.
The Five Towns Jewish Times condemns organizations that refuse to condemn terrorism in the name of Islam. The reason we are so specific is that there are organizations that publicly qualify their condemnations of terrorism with the terms "innocent victims," yet say that this does not apply to citizens of Israel because they are not "innocent." When terrorists rear their ugly heads in Israel, Islamic politicians usually issue a statement that condemns attacks against "innocent civilians." The dirty little secret is that, because all Israelis at one time or another serve in some capacity in the armed forces of Israel, these leaders and spokespeople consider them to be neither "innocent" nor "civilians." We condemn such organizations, as they are both supportive of terrorism and are deceptive in nature.
This is important to point out, because the current executive director of CAIR, Nihad Awad, has publicly stated his support for a known terrorist organization. On March 22, 1994, at a symposium at Barry University in Florida, he said, "I am in support of the Hamas movement." According to research published in the Spring 2006 edition of the Middle East Quarterly (see www.meforum.org/article/916), CAIR, since its inception, has had strong ties with known terrorist organizations. In 1994, when this organization was first launched, it received startup money from the Holy Land Foundation. When the Holy Land Foundation was exposed by government prosecutors, a secret document was found and presented at trial. Exhibit No. 003-0085, an internal Holy Land Foundation document, stated:
"The Muslim Brotherhood must understand that all their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging their miserable house by the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah's religion is made victorious over all religions." This was a document produced here in the United States by associates of CAIR. Lest one think that there was not a two-way street between CAIR and the Holy Land Foundation, the Middle East Quarterly article has demonstrated that the CAIR website link to help victims of 9/11 redirected viewers to the Holy Land Foundation website. This "Foundation" has funneled money to Hamas. This is not just "urban legend," as CAIR has responded. It is the position of the United States government and was proven at trial.
Five past CAIR board members, associates, and employees have been arrested for illegal terrorist support and related activity. Ghassan Elashi, the founder of the Texas chapter of CAIR, illegally sent more than $12 million to Hamas. He also did business with Abu Marzook, a known terrorist Hamas leader. Yet CAIR has never condemned Elashi or the organization he used to funnel the money to sponsor terrorism. A former CAIR civil-rights coordinator, Ismail Royer, was convicted of "conspiracy to train for and participate in a violent jihad overseas." Indeed, he recruited for his paramilitary organization, "Virginia Jihadists," while working for CAIR. According to the indictment, "AK-47-style rifles, telescopic lenses, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and tracer rounds, documents on undertaking jihad and martyrdom, [and] a copy of the terrorist handbook containing instructions on how to manufacture and use explosives and chemicals as weapons" were found in the possession of the indictees. When the former CAIR civil-rights coordinator went to Pakistan, he was trained by a group that gave him a letter of introduction to Al Qaeda. Yet a Google search has not revealed any condemnation by CAIR of its former employee.
In 2003, CAIR distributed a pamphlet that encouraged American Muslims not to cooperate in government attempts to find terrorist activities. This pamphlet included the following statements: "You have no obligation to talk to the FBI, even if you are not a citizen. You do not have to permit them to enter your home. Always have an attorney present when answering questions." If CAIR truly wished to stop terrorism, one would think they should tell Muslims that they have a duty to cooperate with and talk to the FBI. The 5TJT would like to see CAIR issue a call to all Muslims to cooperate with all government counterterrorism agencies.
Indeed, many respectable Muslim American leaders have publicly denounced CAIR as an organization that "condemns terrorism on the surface" but endorses an ideology that helps foster extremism. The FBI's former chief of counterterrorism has stated that "CAIR, its leaders, and its activities effectively give aid to international terrorist groups."
The Five Towns Jewish Times calls upon CAIR to stop the deception and to once and for all do a service to all Muslims, in America and throughout the world. In short, CAIR should: (1) Denounce without qualification all Muslim killers who act in the name of Islam; (2) Call upon Muslims throughout the world to stop the senseless hatred of Jews and other non-Muslims; and (3) Call upon Muslims to cooperate with all counterterrorist government agencies who will help stop Muslims who murder innocents.
Will CAIR answer this call? May Allah give CAIR and its leaders the strength to make the right decision.

Good for that newspaper! It is FAR past time for Americans and Jews in America to not only stand up for themselves but fight back against CAIR and other organizations cloaking themselves in "understanding" and "tolerance" when, in fact, they are the LEAST tolerant.
