My Dad and I are going to continue to argue.I don't normally leave comments on the posts of others, but the Jr. Freeman's use of the world-wide Israel lobby stereotype motivated me into action. Personally I do not believe that the Jr. Freeman realizes how that statement spurs anti-Semitism in others, so I began:
We'll do it, respectfully though.
Wish that could be said about his detractors. They are low-lives. And if you're among them and by chance read this: I still want to punch you in the face. You'd deserve it, you schmucks.
First of all let me explain that I am not part of any "Cabal" unless you count my wife and kids but they don't write.
I will excuse your "name calling" and threats of violence as the love of a son for his father. Because I love my dad, and he taught me to use words instead of calling people shmucks and threatening to punch them in the nose, I will try to explain my position. And followed up by laying out the same argument as I did in the The Argument Against Chas Freeman.
Surprisingly I received a response from the Ambassadors Son
Sammy,It is interesting that I did not even mention my views on the Middle East, nor was any part of my argument about Israel, it was about his father's lack of judgment while working for the Saudi Government, the teacher's workbook that says the Muslims invented America, for example, but like many of his father's supporters his first reaction was this is all about my feelings toward Israel...right back to the Jewish Lobby Stereotype.
Thanks for your note on Steve Clemons' blog. My post was a bit of catharsis I posted on my Facebook page that Steve then asked to borrow.
I have no problem with your fundamental political views about the ME and concerns that they be best manifested in whatever administration is in office. I really haven't followed your stuff in the Times, et al., but I will give you the benefit of the doubt that your opposition to my father is well-intended. I will say, however, that some of the stuff you are throwing around about paid agent of the family Saud or my Dad's support for Chinese thuggery is much more insidious and false a name-calling exercise than the few choice epithets I've laid at your colleagues (if not fellow caballists' ;-)) feet. And the politicization of the NIC position is highly dangerous.
For the record, my Dad's a big boy. He'll be a heck of a good NIC chair, despite your misgivings.
Then Mr. Freeman goes
that some of the stuff you are throwing around about paid agent of the family Saud or my Dad's support for Chinese thuggery is much more insidious and false a name-calling exercise than the few choice epithets I've laid at your colleagues.

It is very strange to see all the anti-Semitism popping up in America. My sincere hope is that people wake up to what is happening before it is too late.
It is also sad to see Obama anti-semitic team giving $900 million to Gaza for rebuilding. I firmly believe they should have to take care of themselves....
