Joe Biden "Ain't Got No Class"

In the Musical Chicago, the women in prison bemoan the lack of manners in 1930's Chicago,
Whatever happened to fair dealing?
And pure ethics
And nice manners?
Why is it everyone now is a pain in the ass?
Whatever happened to class?
Though the ladies in Chicago were talking about the US seventy years ago, they could have been singing about Vice President, Joe Biden, today well, yesterday.

The Houston Chronicle reported that Biden visited Houston yesterday and bragged about persuading Arlen Specter to switch parties (I guess he did the voter intent polling). There he let out some classic Joe-isms.

....Biden was in town for a Democratic National Committee fundraising reception at the River Oaks home of lawyer Neal Manne — who served as Specter’s chief of staff in Washington in the 1980s. The event was scheduled several days ago.

The vice president said that, as a senator from Delaware, he was Specter’s best friend in the Senate for 33 years, and that he and Manne “have been trying to remind Arlen that he is really Democrat.”

“I have been working on that in earnest for the past four years and double time for the past 100 days (as vice president),” Biden added.

“It seems only appropriate,” Biden told Manne in front of a crowd of about 30 donors and supporters, “that I am at your home on the day that Arlen Specter … came back home as a Democrat.”
Several donors at the reception were Pakistani-Americans, and Biden joked that he had to answer questions or “there’ll be a Pakistani revolution.”
The Weekly Standard added that according to the pool report, the vice president of the United States, concluded with: "You Texas guys are ugly as hell, but your women are beautiful."

Thank goodness the people at the meeting were Pakistani's not Indians. We all know what Joe says about them:

You won't see much about Joe's latest gaffe in the Mainstream Media, but just imagine if someone in the Bush administration said something like that, it would be the lead item on every newspaper, every broadcast, every radio station in America.

Our Vice President, "Ain't Got No Class" and neither does our mainstream media.
