Arlen Specter Becomes a Terrorist Tool

Once again Senator Arlen Specter has proven himself to be someone void a moral compass who will do anything for political expediency. Today in Washington DC there is a seminar run by the prestigious Middle East Forum. The purpose of the seminar is how to protect our free speech from Islamist "lawfare." According to the announcement for the seminar:

Islamists have launched a two-pronged effort to suppress free discourse on such subjects as Islam, radical Islam, terrorism, and terrorist funding:
By filing predatory lawsuits.
By passing “hate speech” and defamation laws.


Victims of these “lawfare” attacks have included the famous and the obscure, politicians, journalists, analysts and plain citizens.


This inhibition has great consequences, for when discussion of Islam and terrorism are limited, radical Islam is empowered and Western civilization is imperiled.

One of the speakers in the conference was to be newly Democratic Senator, Arlen Specter, his years on the Senate Judiciary Committee makes him an interesting speaker for such a forum.  Well...that was until he received a petition from CAIR. That's when the Senator without a backbone withdrew and Arlen Specter became a tool of the Hamas-connected organization, CAIR:

WASHINGTON, May 18 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) announced today that Sen. Arlen Specter (D-PA) has canceled a scheduled appearance at an "anti-Islam" conference in Washington, D.C., hosted by a right-wing think tank headed by Daniel Pipes, who is regarded by many Muslims as one of the nation's leading Islamophobes.


CAIR reports that Specter, who was to give the opening address at the conference, cited a "scheduling conflict" for his decision to withdraw from the event. As late as today, media schedules listed Specter as a speaker at the conference.


The false premise of the conference, called "Libel Lawfare: Silencing Criticism of Radical Islam," is that American Muslims are involved in a concerted effort to suppress free speech by misusing the American legal system.

Last week, CAIR's Pennsylvania chapter launched an online petition drive to allow constituents to express concerns about Sen. Specter's participation in the conference.


"We applaud Senator Specter's decision to withdraw from this inaccurate, inflammatory and agenda-driven conference," said CAIR-Philadelphia Executive Director Justin Peyton. "We strongly support free speech and other First Amendment rights, but believe the senator's appearance at this event would have legitimized views not shared by the majority of Pennsylvanians of all faiths."

Here is a bit more about the group which pushed the  spineless Senator around, CAIR. The FBI has proven CAIR to be involve with the terrorist group Hamas.  In fact last year when the world guilty was read a total of 108 times in a Dallas court room as a jury convicted the Holy Land foundation and each of the defendants of raising money to fund Hamas terrorism, they were also implicating CAIR .The supposed Human rights organization was an unindicted co-conspirator in the case. Indeed one key piece of evidence was the Wiretap evidence that put CAIR's former executive director, Nihad Awad, at a Philadelphia meeting of Hamas leaders. Participants hatched a plot to deceive Americans and disguise payments to Hamas as it launched a campaign of terror attacks. CAIR co-founder Omar Ahmad also joined Hamas big shots at the meeting.

Congratulations Senator Specter, have always been a "tool" but now you are a Terrorist Tool.
