Swedish Newspaper's BLOOD LIBEL

The Gentile world has tried to "pin" Blood Libels on the Jewish People for 3,500 years. It started in the land of Egypt: "Slaves were we to Pharaoh in Egypt," the Bible recounts. The 10th and final plague hit the firstborn sons of every Egyptian. However, by smearing the blood of a slaughtered lamb on the doorposts of the Jewish homes, the death passed over them. Since that day, the stain of Passover blood seemed to follow the Jews around. The most wicked of all the slanders against us is that of the blood libel.

Sweden is no big fan of the Jews and uses Israel as a "polite way of being anti-Semitic. Do not forget, however, that Sweden was neutral in World War 2 and grew wealthy selling war materiel to Hitler. Somehow they could not come around to choosing sides between the allies and the Nazis.

Sweden has taken the "Blood Libel" concept and transferred it from all the Jews to just the Israeli Jews.
Most Swedish political figures positioned themselves between strongly condemning Israel while mildly criticizing Hamas' actions on the one hand and totally supporting Hamas and its administration in Gaza on the other.

On the left many condemned Israel's military operation and the Jewish state in general. "I don’t think Israel is a democracy worthy of the name. It’s a racist apartheid state,” said the Left Party's Hans Linde, calling for a boycott of Israel.

On the right, Carl Bildt, Sweden's foreign minister who visited Gaza last week, blamed Israel for intentionally targeting economic infrastructure and called Israeli policies "neither morally nor politically defensible". These remarks were part of a wider debate which included demonstrations, calls for boycotts and anti-Israel diplomacy.
Following along in the tradition a Leading Swedish Newspaper has written a fictional expose' (which it claims is real) accusing the IDF of kidnapping and killing Palestinians for their Organs:
Top Sweden newspaper says IDF kills Palestinians for their organs

By Morten Berthelsen and Barak Ravid, Haaretz Correspondent

A leading Swedish newspaper reported this week that Israeli soldiers are abducting Palestinians in order to steal their organs, a claim that prompted furious condemnation and accusations of anti-Semitic blood libel from a rival publication.

"They plunder the organs of our sons," read the headline in Sweden's largest daily newspaper, the left-leaning Aftonbladet, which devoted a double spread in its cultural section to the article.

(Click here for the original article in Swedish, picture above)

The report quotes Palestinian claims that young men from the West Bank and Gaza Strip had been seized by the Israel Defense Forces, and their bodies returned to the families with missing organs.

"'Our sons are used as involuntary organ donors,' relatives of Khaled from Nablus said to me, as did the mother of Raed from Jenin as well as the uncles of Machmod and Nafes from Gaza, who all had disappeared for a few days and returned by night, dead and autopsied," writes author Donald Boström in his report.

Boström's article makes a link to the recent exposure of an alleged crime syndicate in New Jersey. The syndicate includes several American rabbis, and one Levy Izhak Rosenbaum, who faces charges of conspiring to broker the sale of a human kidney for a transplant.

Boström also cites an incident of alleged organ snatching from 1992, during the time of the first Palestinian intifada. He says that the IDF seized a young man known for throwing stones at Israeli troops in the Nablus area, who was shot in the chest, both legs, and the stomach before being taken to a military helicopter which transported him to "a place unknown to his loved ones".

Five nights later, Boström says, the young man's body was returned, wrapped in green hospital sheets.

"The sharp sounds from the shovels were mixed with the occasional laughter from the soldiers who were joking with each other, waiting to go home. When Bilal was put into his grave, his chest was revealed and suddenly it became clear to the present what abuse he had been put through. Bilal was far from the only one who was buried cut-up from his stomach to his chin and the speculations about the reason why had already started," he writes.

But the liberal Sydsvenskan - southern Sweden's major daily - had harsh criticism for the rival paper, running an opinion piece under the headline "Antisemitbladet" (a play on the name Aftonbladet). Translation of which is below.

"We have heard the story before, in one form or the other. It follows the traditional pattern of conspiracy theory: a great number of loose threads that the theorist tempts the reader to tie into a neat knot without having been provided with any proven connection whatsoever," writes leading columnist Mats Skogkär of Sydsvenskan.

"Whispers in the dark. Anonymous sources. Rumors. That is all it takes. After all we all know what they [the Jews] are like, don't we: inhuman, hardened. Capable of anything," the opinion piece says. "Now all that remains is the defense, equally predictable: 'Anti-Semitism' No, no, just criticism of Israel."

The Foreign Ministry reacted angrily on Tuesday to the report. Ministry spokesperson Yigal Palmor said the newspaper's decision to publish the story is "a mark of disgrace" for the Swedish press.

"In a democratic country, there should be no place for dark blood libels out of the Middle Ages of this type," Palmor said. "This is an article that shames Swedish democracy and the entire Swedish press."

A Foreign Ministry official said that Israel's embassy in Stockholm have communicated a harsh condemnation to the Swedish government and the newspaper itself.
The Rebuttal Editorial:
Anti-Bladet
Published August 17, 2009 at 20:15 by Mats Skogkär

A few weeks ago revealed a major corruption scandal in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Among those arrested were politicians, officials and - a number of rabbis.
One of the rabbi arrested are suspected of illegal organ. Thus, it was probably only a matter of time before someone would take the opportunity to recover a true classic of anti-Semitism - Jew who backslang away children and steal their blood.
And quite rightly. Today it was time. Over a full lookup on Aftonbladet's culture pages:
"Our sons plundered for their organs."
Header sons is, of course, the Palestinians and plunder are Jews - sorry, Israeli soldiers.
And the story we have heard before, in one form or another. It follows the usual conspiracy theory model: a lot of loose ends that the reader is tempted to link to a neat bow, without any connection is coated.
The Israeli campaign in the early 1990s to get more people to donate organs. Palestinian young people who disappeared under mysterious circumstances, and "came back at night to their villages five days later, dead and uppsprättade".
The Israeli special forces waiting in the night "butt cigarettes, who relinquished the Coca-Cola cans and sieved in peace and quiet" to its unsuspecting victims.
Whispers in the dark. Anonymous sources. Rumors.
It is all that is needed. Everyone knows, after all, what they are or how: inhuman, obdurate. Capable of everything.
It now remains only the upset defense century, equally predictable is:
"Anti-Semitism? No, no, only Israel Critique. "
