The higher degree of skepticism about the president may be due in part to the finding that 48% of Americans say they are doing worse economically since Obama’s election. Just 16% say they are doing better, while 32% say they’re doing about the same.
Fifty-five percent (55%) of men say they are doing worse economically, but just 41% of women say the same. Seventy-two percent (72%) of Republicans and 53% of unaffiliateds say they’re doing worse, while a plurality (45%) of Democrats say things are about the same.President Obama is losing his economic "crutch." Rasmussen also reports that 49% of Americans still blame the economic situation on former President Bush. But 45% now say the poor economy was caused more by Obama’s policies. Just a month ago, 55% blamed Bush, while only 37% blamed Obama.
Predictably, nearly eight-out-of-10 Democrats (79%) see the Bush recession as chiefly to blame, while 71% of Republicans say Obama’s economic policies are at fault. But unaffiliated voters are now evenly divided on the question. With the bad state of the economy and the president pushing through health care and cap and trade instead of fixing the Jobs market and the national debt, the president's approvals remain low.
As the Progressives in the White House and Congress continue to shove their radical agenda down our throats, they continue to forget those famous words of Jim Carville, Its The Economy Stupid.
As long as they ignore the economy the President's ratings will remain low.
CNN Just Released a poll that corroborates the Rasmussen information, 54% disapprove of Obama economic performance. Read all about it at Hot Air By Clicking here
