“I see you, and I love you, brother. I love you and you cannot do anything about it. I love you and you cannot do anything about it,” Jones said. “Let’s be one country. Let’s be one country. Let’s get the job done.”
But there were two interviews that Van Jones gave yesterday that no one is talking about. The first was with CNN were he explained that the White House did indeed "vet" him and knew all about his communist background. The second interview exclusive to The Lid, he explained why he gave the shout out to Glenn Beck.
On Friday, CNN's Suzanne Malveaux interviewed Jones and asked him if his background was properly explored by the White House.
There is one question that Van Jones needed to answer, after all the times his true intentions were exposed by Glenn Beck, why would he send love to him at the NAACP awards. I tracked Jones down on skype and downloaded his response to my question.

MALVEAUX: David Axelrod, one of the president's advisers, said that he didn't -- he wasn't aware of these things, and that he probably should have done a better job. One of the other top advisers, Valerie Jarrett, said they have been following you for years and you worked in Oakland and they were very eager to get you to the White House.
Is it hard for you to believe when they say they just had no idea, they didn't know about some of these things?
JONES: I was fully candid, I mean, about my past ,about the ideas that I explored. I was a midlevel White House staffer. I reported to a Senate-confirmed nominee -- midlevel White House staffers go through a vetting process that's very -- a process that's very, very rigorous. But I wasn't a cabinet secretary. I was a worker in the White House. The President knew exactly what he was doing when he appointed Jones to the Green Jones job. The question remains WHY? Why would the President appoint someone who was a self-proclaimed communist, someone who said he wanted to use the "Green Movement" overturn the Capitalist System, someone who led protests to free Mumia Abu-Jamal a man who executed a police officer. The President Knew that Van Jones was the co-founder of Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM), STORM described itself and its activities as:
“We upheld the Marxist critique of capitalist exploitation. We agree with Lenin’s analysis of the state and the party. And we found inspiration and guidance in the insurgent revolutionary strategies developed by third world revolutionaries like Mao Tse-Tung and Amilcar Cabral.”Nice vision of the future of America? But all questions about Van Jones and why he was hired despite his background are not for Van Jones to answer, but for the President who hired him.
