Nancy Pelosi Taunts Anti-Health Care Protesters- But We Ain't Dead Yet

Nancy Pelosi decided to thumb her nose at the Anti-Obamacare protesters today. Instead of going into the Capitol the usual way, she decided to walk through the protesters with other Congressman and an armed security team, waiving her giant gavel. As you can see with in the video below it was almost as if she took an early victory lap. The only real reason for her to make that entrance was to taunt the protesters.



This video should be saved and shown over and over during the mid-term election campaign. But it may not be over despite the Bart Stupak "fold." According to the Hill the Democrat no's are up to 35 only two (of the four undecided) are needed. In other words, we aint dead yet. Although I would be lying if I didn't say the fat lady is warming up.

There is also a new challenge to the reconciliation bill in the Senate. Here's the bottom line. It is against the Senate rules for a bill using the reconciliation process to mess with Social Security in any way. As the reconciliation bill the house is going to vote on does, it may be ruled out of order, meaning it would have to go back to the House.  But the Democratic party Senate leadership refuses to ask the parliamentarian till after the vote, meaning the House Democrats are being "set-up."

WASHINGTON DC – Senate Democrats have balked at a bi-partisan meeting with the Senate Parliamentarian to discuss a rule violation that could doom the entire House reconciliation proposal.
DON STEWART, McCONNELL SPOKESMAN: “Republicans have been trying to set up a meeting with Senate Democrats since yesterday to discuss this fatal point of order but have been met with nothing but silence. We suspect Democrats are slow walking us so as to have the House vote first. Since Senate Democrats refuse to meet with us and the Parliamentarian, we’ve informed our colleagues in the House that we believe the bill they’re now considering violates the clear language of Section 310g of the Congressional Budget Act, and the entire reconciliation bill is subject to a point of order and rejection in the Senate should it pass the House.”
