Goat Attacks Congressman Anthony Weiner

Some days it just doesn't pay to do "show and tell." Yesterday Congressmen Anthony Weiner (D-NY) and Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), had a press conference to give an example of what they consider government waste, federal subsidies given to goat farmers.

Last year the federal government sent nearly $1 million in subsidies to mohair goat farmers; and Weiner said that such wasteful spending needs to stop.

It was Weiner who brought the goats with him (above left) to serve as a visual aid as he called for an end to mohair goat subsidies.

Just as Weiner began his schpiel  he was gored in the  hand by one of the two goats today he brought to the press conference.(see video below).

It wasn't immediately clear which of the two animals attacked the Congressman. But what was clear, is  the  Progressive Democrat was cut on his right hand.

Despite the injury, both Weiner and the goats managed to finish up the "show and tell"  for the cameras. Because of the blood transfer, it was assumed that immediately after the presser, the goats were taken to the hospital for a series of shots.

Sources far from Weiner,  said the animal attack was either the fault of the eight years of George Bush or a conspiracy led by radio commentator Glenn Beck. One observer said, "Both Bush and Beck are religious nuts, and everybody knows they sacrificed goats in biblical times. It had to be them."

The goats refused to comment, but it was assumed that they had either invested in gold or was upset because Congressman Weiner stopped calling. A  staffer from Senator Barbara Boxer's office suggested that the entire incident was caused by the increased amount of CO2 in the atmosphere.

The video of the incident is below, the story will be updated when additional facts are discovered.
