Megyn Kelly "Bitch Slaps" Kirsten Powers--MUST WATCH VIDEO

WOW, I knew Megyn Kelly could be a tough interviewer but today she was not only tough but absolutely wonderful. In a segment on her 1-3 program on Fox, she had liberal Fox contributor Kirsten Powers on her show to debate Conservative Contributor Andrea Tantaros about the New Black Panther voter intimidation case. The interview turned out to be a Megyn Kelly slap down of the Ms Powers.

It was painfully obvious that Powers did not do any perpetration for the appearance, and instead intended to rely on the usual "Blame George Bush Strategy"  and Kelly would have none of it.  After a tape of a town hall where a Congressman claimed he knew nothing about the New Black Panther Case, Ms Tantaros said the Congressman was either lying or was not qualified to hold office. Kelly turned to Ms Powers and they were off and running:
Kelly: We have a DOJ whistleblower alleging there is a discriminatory policy at the DOJ voting rights section and no one seems to give a darn.
Powers: I’m sorry you can put me in the same category of people who don’t give a darn. I looked at the video. the guy wasn’t really intimidating people. They were walking past him and voting. I don’t understand how he’s being intimidated.

Kelly: With respect — you don’t seem to know what you are talking about.

Powers: I think I do…

Kelly: I have read the testimony that was given before the U.S. commission. have you read –

Powers: I talked to the Department of Justice at length about this. It doesn’t matter, they got an injunction against him.

Kelly: You don’t know what you are talking about. You cannot debate.

Powers: You won’t answer my question.

Kelly: What is your question?

Powers made two major mistakes. First when you go on a TV show where the host just had a major interview on the topic you are to discuss make sure you saw the interview. It was obvious that Kirsten did not watch the interview and thought she could wing it.

Even worse for Powers' career at Fox, she got into a "pissing match" with Megyn Kelly who is considered by Fox News as their rising star. If management is going to take sides it wont be Kirsten's side.

Ms. Kelly is to be applauded,  unlike most interviewers she did not let Powers get away with the "Bush did it" nonsense.  This is a tact that Republicans should take in future elections.
