Michelle Obama is Selling Obamacare , But Americans Ain't Buying.

Michelle Obama taking the lead in trying to make America happy with Obamacare, but the latest Rasmussen polls show that America ain't buying.
Michelle Obama wrote through President Obama's political arm, Organizing for America, to promote the healthcare reform bill for which the president had pushed for months and signed into law in March.

"When you hear about the new health reform law these days, too much talk is focused on the political," Michelle Obama wrote. "What I've found is that most Americans just want to know how this new law helps their families stay healthy — and how it reduces their costs."
The only problem with what the first lady is saying is the lack of truthfulness in her statement.

If the FLOTUS thinks American voters are calming down about having Obamacare shoved down their throats, she is wrong. The latest Rasmussen report shows that by a 56% to 38% margin voters want Obamacare to go by the way of polyester Nehru jackets. Amongst Republicans (81%) and independents (60%) the call for repeal is even stronger than the general population. Only the Democrats want Obamacare to remain the law of the land.

Americans have also read the reports showing how Obamacare is going to raise prices. Sixty-one percent  of voters expect the cost of health care to go up under the health care reform law, the highest level of pessimism measured since the law was passed in March.  Eighty-eight  percent of Republicans and 70% of independents acknowledge that health care prices are going to rise thanks to Obamacare. A plurality of Democrats (32%) believe that costs are going to go down.

Fifty-four percent (54%) now say the new law will be bad for the country. That’s up five points from late June and is the highest level of pessimism measured since late May. Once again these numbers are driven by the GOP (84%) and the independents (64%) while the Democrats still believe in the President's plan.

The first lady ends her letter with the following paragraph:
"Each of us needs to take responsibility for our own health and the health of our families, and the new health reform law can help," she said. "That's why I'm writing today — to make sure you and Americans across the country know how their health plans are getting better day by day under reform."
Actually what Obamacare does is take responsibility out of the hands of Americans and puts it in the hands of the federal government. Other than the members of the president's own party, Americans know that Obamacare is going to make their health plans more expensive and less effective. Sorry Mrs. Obama, we ain't buying it.
