Call me crazy, but the economy is still going to hell in a hand basket, the President's party is about to go down to an historic debate in the midterm elections and what is Barack Obama doing? Working on some new economic strategy to get us out of this horrible economy? Trying to come up with a way to stop the Iranians from getting nukes? Meeting with his Department of Justice to ensure there is no "funky" election fraud happening at any polling place? NO The President is spending time with Ryan Seacrest. I guess being embarrassed by John Stewart last week wasn't enough punishment for the Commander-Dude-In-Chief?
The administration's last-minute push to turn out the vote is spurring some unconventional media outreach efforts. But none of them have been quite as unlikely as that announced on Monday -- President Obama will be doing an interview with Ryan Seacrest.
The "American Idol" co-host will be talking to Obama on Election Day for a segment on his radio show, 'On Air with Ryan Seacrest.' And in a Facebook post, he put out a solicitation for questions:
Do YOU have a question for President Obama? What issues concern you most? Let us know in the comments below and Ryan might ask it in the interview!
Yeah I got a question, with the all the problems this country has, can't you think of ONE thing more important to do with meeting with E News? Give me a break!
Ryan's interview with the President airs tomorrow at 7:15am PST in Los Angeles, and will be immediately available afterwards at RyanSeacrest.com.
What, exactly, the point is of doing an interview that will air predominantly in a state that seems to be the one Democratic holdout -- and that caters to an audience of not particularly politically-active listeners -- is unclear. But the gist seems to be that, in the 11th hour, no stone should be left unturned. Seacrests interview, a source notes, will be broadcast on other stations in addition across the country.
Come ON do we think this president is "out of touch" or what? Now the Seacrest interview is not his biggest interview, there was the time in January 2009 when he appeared on the of the "prestigious"
American Dog Magazine. That should have been a warning about which way he was sending the country...to the Dogs.

Oprah, The View, now Ryan Seacrest? It just fits my theory that Obama wants to be the next Arsenio Hall.
