The Fat Lady Is Singing, This Time The Cain Campaign Is VERY Dead

Note if you cannot see two videos in this post please click here

My first prediction of the 2012 campaign season was made four months ago on July 19th, I wrote a piece called ITS OFFICIAL! Herman Cain's Campaign is Done-Stick A Fork In It ! back then I predicted Cain's bigoted statements about Muslims would be the end of his campaign--I was very wrong.

Since then, led by his straight talk and 9-9-9 plan the former Godfather's Pizza executive made an incredible comeback, and just a few weeks ago was considered a front-runner for the GOP nomination, at the very least he was the acknowledged leading anti-Mitt candidate.

Well that was until the allegations of sexual harassment and while initial polls had Cain maintaining his voting base, the recent results showed voters, especially females had begun to abandon the former businessman.

Even that wouldn't have been enough for me to declare the end of Cain, but in recent days he's begun to act a bit weird, and the faux pas were increasing.  There was that inappropriate Anita Hill joke followed by a declaration that he would be choosey about which campaign he would join as VP.  Cain may still have been able to weather the storm, that was until he sat down with the editorial board  of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Herman Cain stumbled when asked if he supported what President Obama had done in Libya.
“Okay, Libya,” he says. Long pause. “President Obama,” pause, “supported,” pause, “the uprising, correct? President Obama called for the removal of Qaddafi. Just want to make sure we’re talking about the same thing before I say, yes I agreed or no I didn’t agree. Um, I do not agree with the way he handled it for the following reason. Um. Nope, that’s a different one. Um.” Pauses, adjusts chair, adjusts jacket. “I got to go back, see, uh,” pause, “got all this stuff twirling around in my head. Um. Specifically, what did you ask me did I agree or not disagree with Obama?”

It is painful to watch:

But Libya wasn't his only "bad answer." At a different part of the interview he spoke about his support of collective bargaining for Public Employees..sort of.
Asked if he thought federal employees should have the ability to bargain collectively, Cain said: "They already have it, don't they?"

Told they didn't, he said, "They have unions."
The American Federation of Government Employees, which represents 600,000 federal government workers in 65 agencies, says that most federal employees don't have collective bargaining over pay and benefits. They do have collective bargaining rights over working conditions.

The Cain campaign put out the word tonight that the strange answers were because the candidate got little sleep last night. But that is little consolation for most voters.  Remember that Hilary Clinton "phone call at 3AM" commercial? Based on his performance today, how many of us would be comfortable for a tired Herman Cain to get that middle of the night phone call?

This time Cain will not be able to come back. ITS OFFICIAL THIS TIME- Herman Cain's Campaign is Done-Stick A Fork In It !

Sadly, I have to agree. I've been a Cainiac since December, and had high hopes for the man.

He's let me down. He has not made the changes necessary to show he can recognize a problem and solve it quickly.

I wrote about it here: http://www.allamericanblogger.com/18776/obligatory-herman-cain-milwaukee-journal-sentinal-video-post-plus-linkaround/

If he can come back from this, it would be a reinvention of epic proportions. I can't see it happening.

Cain could have answered that question a few weeks ago. That video was painful, but mostly because it was evidence of a man who had been beaten down, chained and dragged behind the truck of a bigoted MSM.

Hurray for the MSM, those racist pigs think there's only one acceptable way for a black man to think and vote, and so they were hellbent to lynch the black man who had wandered off the Democrat plantation. Bastards. You lynched him alright.
