The President and the committee to reelect the President (CREEP) love to use Bain Capital as the root of all evil. If you believe the CREEPYs, those vampire capitalists at Mitt Romney's old company killed a laid off steelworker's wife, put millions of people out of work and quite possibly were responsible for the last time you were stuck in the bathroom without toilet tissue.
Now it seems that Obama has decreed the word Bain cannot be used in his presence (or at least with regards to his appointees resumes). The Washington Post is reporting:
Of course it was because of editing reasons. But just in case, SHHHH! Don't say the "B" word in front of the POTUS, it gives him heartburn.President Obama named Boris Bershteyn to step in to head the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs after the departure of Cass Sunstein, but his official bio makes no mention of Bershteyn’s time at consulting firm Bain & Co. (that’s where Romney worked before founding the spinoff private equity firm Bain Capital).According to his profile in LinkedIn, Bershteyn was an associate consultant at Bain & Co. in the early 2000s, before he got his Yale Law degree. An OMB spokesman notes the Bain & Co./Bain Capital distinction and that Bershteyn’s time at Bain was early in his career. She also said the official bio highlights Bershteyn’s legal experience, not his consulting background — and so, apparently, was left off for editing reasons, not political ones.
And maybe its just me but if Bain is such an evil place, why in the world would Obama want to hire someone who worked there?
