On Meet the Press a few Sundays back, Joe Scarborough got all huffy when Bay Buchanan accused him of having an anti-Republican bias.
Morning Joe has spent this campaign season acting more like an Obama operative than a former conservative congressman. Like when he blasted Mitt Romney for commenting on Obama's poor choices during the Libyan terrorist attack, even though he did the same thing to Obama when the President sent US bombers into Libya months before. In the same show Scarborough admitted that the coverage of Romney was biased, but blamed it on the candidate.
The former conservative Republican went "beyond the pale." He aired a doctored tape of Romney on his program, and made fun of the governor. Even worse the liberal propaganda outlet kept showing Joe's reaction over and over.
But now we know the tape has been edited. It all started on the Pat and Stu show which airs on the Blaze network after the Glenn Beck show (H/T The Minority Report):
If you listen closely, it’s obvious the audio in the clip has been adjusted. The tape on the Pat and Stu show is not very clear, so listen closely to C-Span's coverage of the same event. The Crowd begins chanting Romney, Romney and Romney tells them to include Ryan in their chants
Based on his twitter feed Morning Joe does not want to admit the truth
After Mr. Ryan whooped up the crowd in Vandalia on Tuesday, Mr. Romney moved to the front of the stage. As the crowd began chanting “Romney! Romney!” he cut them off.“Wait a second,” Mr. Romney said, instructing the audience to cheer for “Romney-Ryan! Romney-Ryan!” They did. “There we go,” he said, pleased. Is the NY Times too biased toward Republicans for you? How about the WHIO TV account?
@3:35 p.m.: Ryan pauses for a moment while the crowd begins to chant, “Romney, Romney, Romney …” @3:36 p.m.: Mitt Romney begins speaking to the crowd. Asks them to chant, “Romney, Ryan; Romney, Ryan; Romney, RyanSo Morning Joe note this, I have three sources, CSPAN, the NY Times and WHIO TV that say the clip on MSNBC was a lie. Are you going to own up to it? Are you going to apologize to Mitt Romney? Bay Buchanan?
Look I understand the guy has to feed his family, so he must toe the MSNBC line, but at least he could own up to it.

I grew up watching WHIO-TV in Dayton, Ohio. I currently live 60 miles from Vandalia (a suburb of Dayton) and I watched this rally live. The crowd WAS in fact cheering, 'Romney! Romney! Romney!' before Mitt interjected, 'Romney, Ryan! Romney, Ryan!' How ugly of Morning Joe to flat-out LIE. He's (quite obviously) not even GOP-friendly. How dare Morning Joe claim Conservatism. Rubbish, absolutely absurd.
