The news just crossed the wire that Lisa Jackson, EPA administrator and possibly the most anti-business member of the Obama administration has resigned:
In her almost 4-year tenure we can thank Jackson's work for the prevention of the Keystone Pipeline, the loss of thousands of Jobs in the coal industry, Punishing Oil Refineries for not using an ingredient that doesn't exist, preventing the use of our own energy resources and don't forget her biggest "victory," declaring human exhalation a pollutant (farting also). The finding that carbon dioxide methane, nitrous oxide, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons and sulfur hexafluoride are gases that contribute to global warming meet the definition of pollutants under the Clean Air Act. Even though the temperature hasn't gone up in 17 years. Lisa don't let the door hit you in the arse on your way out...we won't miss you.
Environmental Protection Agency Administration Lisa Jackson says she's stepping down after nearly four years on the job.
Jackson announced her departure in a statement Thursday. She gave no particular reason for leaving but said she was ready for new challenges, time with her family and new opportunities to make a difference.
She says she's leaving the agency, in her words, "confident the ship is sailing in the right direction."
Jackson is expected to leave after the State of the Union address in late January. Cabinet members looking to move on often leave at the beginning of a president's second term.
