To Err is Human, To Really Screw Things Up you Need a Computer
Today is tax is April 15th, Tax Day for much of America--but last night was a possible disaster for former Treasury Secretary Turbotax Tim Geithner, who famously forgot to pay his taxes and blamed it on Turbotax. Tubotax Tim and other last minute
income tax filers had an awful scare last night:
TurboTax, one of the country's most popular tax-filing software programs, caused panic for millions of procrastinators on Sunday night when it briefly went offline - just one day before the April 15 filing deadline.
The company quickly fixed the problem and returned the online tax-filing system to service.
But not before TurboTax social media accounts were flooded messages from frustrated filers.
'We're having problems with TurboTax online. We're in process bringing back the experience u expect. Updates 2 follow,' the company wrote at 10.11pm on Sunday.
Income taxes must be filed by midnight tonight, and while you can get an extension ---that is only for the paperwork, the IRS wants its money sent today.
Republicans believe every day is the Fourth of July, but the Democrats believe every day is April 15- Ronald Reagan
