$1.5 Billion Bernie Sanders Sweetener Added To Hoeven-Corker Immigration Bill Amendment

Boy oh Boy those socialists really know how to negotiate.  Bernie Sanders the socialist senator from Vermont had a $1.5 Billion dollar youth jobs bill added to the Hoeven-Corker amendment to purchase his vote in favor of the bill. 

According to the Hill:

Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vt.), a liberal independent who caucuses with Democrats, has spoken out against what he has called a “massive increase in temporary guest worker programs” at a time of high unemployment. But Sanders is likely to vote for the bill after negotiators agreed to provide $1.5 billion over two years for a youth jobs program.

Negotiators secured the support of Sen. Mark Begich (Alaska), another swing Democratic vote, by including language ensuring immigrant labor for Alaskan seafood processors — an arrangement that has already been dubbed “the Crabhusker kickback.”

The Sanders Sweetener was originally proposed by the Senator as a separate piece of legislation it is another jobs stimulus which will be as successful as the last one:

The provision by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) would provide $1.5 billion over two years for states and local communities to help find jobs for more than 400,000 16- to 24-year-olds who were hard hit by the Wall Street-caused recession. “With the youth unemployment rate unacceptably high, the youth jobs amendment will put hundreds of thousands of young Americans to work,” Sanders said.

Sanders had argued that helping unemployed American young people was the least Congress should do in a bill that allows college students from around the world to take jobs that young Americans would otherwise perform. Sanders focused on the J-1 Summer Work Travel Program and the H-2B guest worker programs.

Sanders said, “At a time when real unemployment is close to 14 percent and even higher among young people and minorities, it is absolutely imperative that we create millions of decent-paying jobs in our country. The establishment of a youth employment program for 400,000 young people is a good step forward but in the months to come we must do even more.”

How the hell does a piece of pork like this get thrown into an immigration bill?  Does this mean that besides having no regard for border security Senator's Hoeven and Corker have no regard to the budget either? And what does the supposedly conservative Marco Rubio have to say?

This bill is a disaster which could be stopped by the GOP Senators, but at least 15 of the opposition party will vote for this bill which will hurt the country and the party.
