McCain Broadcasts His Stupidity About Egypt- Calls For Aid Cut Off

The Senate's angry old man is revealing his naivite' about foreign policy.  Senator John McCain (seen above with one of his favorite members of al Qaeda) calling on President Obama to suspend aid to Egypt after its military overthrew the country’s government.

McCain who acts like a liberal between elections is  a member of the Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee.  Yesterday he  for the United States to suspend its $1.5 billion in annual aid, based on long-standing federal law that prohibits the U.S. from giving aid to countries in which a military coup overthrows a democratically elected government.
“We cannot repeat the same mistakes that we made at other times in our history by supporting the removal of freely elected governments,” McCain said during a public event in Prescott, Ariz.

“The president was freely elected,” said McCain, who acknowledged that he thought “long and hard” about his request, considering Morsi had “mismanaged” the county since taking over.
The Egyptian military has already inserted a new president, Adly Mansour. However, McCain said the military must set a time table for elections and drafting a new constitution before the U.S. can consider continuing the aid.

“The USA must learn the lessons of history, and that is we cannot stand by, without acting in cases where freely elected governments are unseated by the military arm of those nations,” McCain said.
Of course Senator McCain, has no idea of what he is talking about, this was not a military takeover.  It was the military acting as the facilitator of a public uprising.  Heck they got 20,000,000 names on a petition for heaven's sake.   The military has already turned governmental power over to a technocrat and promised new elections.  They said the same thing after Mubarak was ousted  and turned things over to Morsi.

McCain has to learn to think outside of the box of old politics.  Yes Morsi was democratically elected, but he tried to change the constitution and add to the presidential powers by executive fiat.  The People rebelled against the abuse of power, and the lack of economic success.

Instead of worrying about a popular uprising in Egypt, perhaps McCain should worry about that border fence he promised to the people of Arizona, the fence which as things stand right now..will never be built.

As Thomas Jefferson one of the founders of our republic once said:
I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical
Perhaps McCain should read a little Jefferson.
