Fast and Furious is the Scandal that wont go away. Even though Attorney General Eric Holder refuses to release the documents which may prove that he lied about the scandal, we do learn a little more about this scandal every day.Assault weapons ceded to the drug cartels by the US have been used for crimes in Mexico, used to kill a US Border Agent named Brian Terry, turned up at the scenes of violent crimes in Phoenix, and 11 other violent crimes across the US and in the execution of a Mexican Police Chef.

According to Justice Department tracing documents (embedded below) obtained by CBS News, all three guns are WASR-10 762-caliber Romanian rifles (a Romanian clone of the AK-47)
Two were purchased by Fast and Furious suspect Uriel Patino in May and July of 2010. Sean Steward, who was convicted on gun charges in July 2012, purchased a third. The rifles were traced yesterday to the Lone Wolf gun shop in Glendale, Ariz.
Patino is said to have purchased 700 guns while under ATF's watch. Ever since, a steady stream of the guns have been recovered at crime scenes in Mexico and the U.S. But the Justice Department has refused repeated requests from Congress and CBS News to provide a full accounting. An estimated 1,400 guns are still on the street or unaccounted for.And the entire reason those "geniuses" high up in ATF, the DOJ and probably the White House thought it would be a great idea to sell assault weapons to the violent Mexican drug cartels was to attack the Second Amendment to the Constitution.
Emails show ATF big shots wanted to use the illegal gun sales encouraged by the ATF in operation Fast and Furious to justify a new gun regulation called "Demand Letter 3". The new rule would require U.S. gun shops to report the sale of multiple rifles or "long guns." The fancy name, Demand Letter 3 comes from the fact that it would be the third ATF program demanding gun dealers report tracing information. If that's how then name projects, why didn't they name Fast and Furious, "Really Asinine Project One?
When listing the many scandals facing the Obama Administration, people forget about fast and furious--there is something there though. Especially when one remembers that the Department of Justice seems to be hiding something and the President is backing them up. Eric Holder's refusal to turn over Fast and Furious related documents has lead the House to hold the AG in contempt and House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa has sued AG Holder in civil court for refusing to provide the requested documents.
Although the documents requested from Holder don't turn up, one things seems to be turning up all the time...Guns! And they continue to turn up at crime scenes--especially murders!
