The United States of America used to be a tower of strength in the world but Barack Obama is turning us into a shivering tower of Jello. Trying to get attention off his administration's various scandals, the latest of which is the failure of the Obamacare introduction and his associated lies, this president is desperately trying into a nuclear agreement with Iran which reduces sanctions without securing any reduction in its ability to create weapons grade uranium.
And now things are speeding up:
The State Department’s spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, said in a statement that Mr. Kerry would go to Geneva “in an effort to help narrow the differences in the negotiations.” He is to meet with Iran’s foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, and the European Union’s foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton, who oversees the multiparty negotiations. The deal which seems to be develping is Iran agrees to suspend stop enriching uranium and reduce its existing stockpile and reduces the number of centrifuges, sanctions will be eased.
In an indication that diplomatic momentum for a deal could be accelerating, news reports said Laurent Fabius, the French foreign minister, William Hague, the British foreign secretary, and Guido Westerwelle, the German foreign minister, were planning to join the talks on Friday.
Among the issues regarding the deal as now constituted is that Iran has already hid away enriched uranium and it is not eliminating the centrifuges. So if Iran reduces its stockpile they can alwasy make more. According to most sources, Iran is very close to developing an nuclear weapons capability this does nothing to stop them.
” According to the outlines of what the “initial understanding” would entail, it appears that the full cessation of uranium enrichment, the dismantling of its nuclear weapons fuel production capability, full cooperation with the IAEA regarding its covert weaponization program, or any of the other steps Iran needs to take fall outside the bounds of the objective laid out by the senior officia
On the other hand, Iran will get an easing of the crippling sanctions, which is exactly what they want.
Yesterday Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu blasted the developing deal:
"This proposal will allow Iran to preserve its ability to build a nuclear weapon. Israel is completely opposed to these proposals. I believe that adopting them would be a mistake of historic proportions and they should be completely rejected," he said. This President has been criticized for his naivite' in the area of foreign affairs. Sadly in his rush to avoid domestic issue, Barack Obama's naivite' may create a nuclear deal with Iran which will present both Israeli and American citizens with a very dark future.
Netanyahu's comments came as Iran and the P5+1, made up of the US, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany, resumed negotiations in Geneva.
"The sanctions regime brought the Iranian economy to the brink of the abyss, and the policies of the P5+1 can force Iran to completely dismantle its nuclear weapons program, and that means stopping all enrichment,, and all work on the heavy water reactor and on plutonium," he said.
