New Poll: Keystone Pipeline Support-Winning GOP Issue In Four Key Senate Races

The Republican Party needs to pick up six seats in the 2014 Midterms to take control of the U.S. Senate. The Consumer Energy Alliance conducted a poll to examine like voter attitudes to the building the Keystone pipeline in four states with close Senate Races, and found the President's Keystone delays are helping the Republican candidates.

The four states polled include, Iowa, Michigan, New Hampshire and Montana.

Top line, voters in all four states feel President Obama's delay in building the pipeline is based on nothing but politics, and they plan to hold Democrats accountable if the President does not approve the pipeline before Election Day. The poll was taken after the announcement of the latest delay in making a decision about the pipleline.

In each of the four states support for building the pipeline is very strong:

By a large margin voters in each state feel Obama is playing politics with the delay.

At least a third of voters are more likely to go with the GOP if the President keeps delaying a Keystone decision.

An even larger percentage would be more likely to go with the GOP if the President decides to say no to the pipeline before the election.

In the end voters realize building the Keystone pipeline is good for energy and good for jobs, why doesn't the president understand? If he doesn't understand real soon he will be making a GOP majority in the Senate more likely.
