LIARS. How The Global 'Warmists' Have Been Fudging Data To Fake Warming Trend.

At his Real Science Blog Steve Goddard has shown how NASA and NOAA made it look like the U.S. is getting warmer. They didn't fudge the new data--they fudged the old info.  After the year 2000 they substituted actual temperatures with computer simulation data.  The computer simulation lowered the past temperatures so the present would look warmer in comparison.

The top graph shows what the climate trend would be if the US Historical Climatology Network (USHCN) used only the actual temperatures to display a climate trend.  We see its been cooling for 80 years. The GIF below that compares the actual data to the computer simulated temperatures the USHCN has been using.

The animation below shows how NASA cooled 1934 and warmed 1998, to make 1998 the hottest year in US history instead of 1934. This alteration turned a long term cooling trend since 1930 into a warming trend.

You gotta give the warming enthusiasts points for originality..By relying only on temperatures measured at the time, Goddard proves the US has actually been cooling since the Thirties, the hottest decade on record; whereas the latest graph, nearly half of it based on “fabricated” data, shows it to have been warming at a rate equivalent to more than 3 degrees centigrade per century.
