Allen West was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, in the same neighborhood where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once preached.
He is the third of four generations of military servicemen in his family. West served 22 years in the US Army and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Allen West is a Fox News Contributor, a Senior Fellow at the London Center for Policy Research, and regularly writes for numerous media outlets.
Col. West authored a book that debuted this past April, Guardian of the Republic: An American Ronin’s Journey to Faith, Family and Freedom, which we’ll discuss briefly.
