Senior defense officials confirmed to NBC News Monday that Hagel was forced to resign.
The officials say the White House has lost confidence in Hagel to carry out his role at the Pentagon. According to one senior official, “He wasn’t up to the job.”On the other hand Hagel may be the scape goat for the failed Obama policies especially related to terrorism , after all the President wasn't going to fire Susan Rice or John Kerry.
McCain on AZ radio, on Hagel: "He was in my office last week. He was very frustrated… believe me, he was up to the job."

The fact that WaPo felt compelled to produce such an austere analysis might actually be funnier than the skit itself. The meta on this whole situation is actually more comedic than anything the SNL writers could contrive.
Oh, they get it. They know just how effective the SNL smear campaign against Palin was and can't afford to let that happen to King Obama.
True. The suckophants at the state media must be ever on the lookout for anything that might be negative about His Hindass.
Well who could have seen that coming? Excluding, of course, anyone who watched Hagel's confirmation hearings.
Based on the brat's historical propensity to blame everyone else for his FUBARs and SNAFUs, it should not come as any surprise that Hagel wound up as the sacrificial lamb. Someone has to pay when the narcissistic Alinskyite at the witless house muddies the water. Besides, the child king's Muslim Brotherhood handler, Valerie Jarrett, wasn't particularly fond of Hagel.
