Democratic Leader Steve Israel Proves Again He's Nothing But A Gutless Obama Hack

Before Barack Obama became President Congressman Steve Israel (D-NY) was a big supporter of the State of Israel but early in the Obama's first administration when he saw the opportunity to move up in the leadership of his party, he abandoned the Jewish People and the Jewish State.

The latest example of the congressional "hackery" is a letter Israel sent to John Boehner

The letter, written by Jewish Congressmen Steve Israel (D-New York), Ted Deutch (D-Florida) and Nita Lowey (D-New York), harshly criticizes Boehner’s moves as “partisan disregard of long-standing protocol.”

Hill Democrats have expressed broad frustration over Boehner’s handling of the speech. Some plan on boycotting its delivery on March 3, though all three representatives who penned the letter plan to attend.

The three authors, with staunch track records in favor of Israel, said that Boehner’s invitation – and not Netanyahu’s decision to accept – has created a distracting rift in the US-Israel relationship.

Actually Rep. Israel, the rift in the relationship was caused by President Obama anti-Israel policies and the fact  that Israel's supposed friends on the Democratic Party side of the aisle abandoned the Jewish State so they could suck up to an anti-Israel President and advance up the party ranks.

Israel's move to the dark side began in 2010 when under pressure from Obama he lent his name to the faux pro-Israel organization J-Street. While J-Street was considered illegitimate by most Israel supporters, but Obama insisted on giving the group credence because of its anti-Israel stances. Despite knowing his name would some legitimacy for the anti-Israel J-Street Rep. Israel allowed his name to be included in this list:

Street Gala Dinner Honorary Host Committee The following members of Congress will host J Street's first annual Gala Dinner this October 27th. The Gala is part of J Street's first national conference, Driving Change, Securing Peace, that will be held this October 25th to 28th in Washington, DC.

As President Obama and his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton began to implement their anti-Israel foreign policy during the first Obama Administration, Steve Israel who never before had been reluctant to speak out in support of Israel, was strangely silent. Even as Republicans began to stand up to support the Jewish State, Congressman Israel said nothing. His silence is the result of his inability to have a thought independent of the Administration. This past May when President Obama made his one sided anti-Israel Middle East there was plenty of criticism regarding Obama's call to begin negotiations with Israel ceding the disputed territories, but none of it was from DNCC Chair Steve Israel.

Congressman Israel repeated his affront affront to the large Jewish and Pro-Israel district he supposedly represents by fundraising for an Anti-American, Anti-Israel Organizations associated with the Muslim Brotherhood.  He Joined House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi Reps Andre Carson and Keith Ellison in Democratic Party fundraiser with leaders of Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood in the US.

In attendance were about 20 members of a Syrian dissident group and 10 officials representing Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas front groups. Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) Executive Director Nihad Awad was perhaps the most prominent attendee and played a key role in organizing the event.

CAIR, an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2007-2008 Holy Land Foundation Hamas money-laundering trials, was described in FBI testimony as having been created by Hamas. In a 2007 federal court filing, prosecutors described CAIR as conspiring with other branches of the Muslim Brotherhood to support terrorists.

The FBI officially severed relations with CAIR in 2008 because of its ties to Hamas.

Awad has openly championed Hamas and defended suicide bombings as "legitimate resistance."

Also in attendance was Jamal Barzinji, a founding father of the Muslim Brotherhood in America and co-founder of the Muslim Students Association (MSA), an incubator for Islamic radicalism in North America. MSA was the forerunner of Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT).

The former Chairman of The DCCC Steve Israel, who supposedly supports Israel, never met a Progressive anti-Semitic or anti-Israel group that he did not embrace.  The Long Island Congressman's latest "love affair" is with Occupy Wall Street whose members have displayed a hatred of both the Jews and the Jewish State.

The DCCC which was run by Steve Israel at the time published a petition supporting Occupy Wall Street which is looking for 100,000 signatures in support of Occupy Wall Street which had already been proven to be anti-Israel and and Antisemitic , but that didn't stop Steve Israel he just wanted to move up in leadership.


Now Israel really needs the support of someone like Steve Israel, Obama is making a deal which not only put Israel in danger, but more importantly now that Iran is getting long-range-missiles from Russia it is an existential threat to the United States. It is not my judgement the deal is bad,  it is the judgment of Bob Menendez, Lindsey Graham, the EU, and the usually friendly to Obama Washington Post editorial board.  But Steve Israel is trying to look good to his democratic superiors so instead of calling out the president for the direction the deal is heading, Steve Israel sends a letter to Speaker Boehner.

If Steve Israel was still a supporter of the Jewish State, he would have blasted the President for interfering with the Israeli election, by allowing former Obama strategist Jeremy Bird to work with the groups One Voice and V15 in Israel to replace the Netanyahu government in March. He would have also blasted Obama for allowing the State Department to fund One Voice.

If Steve Israel was still a supporter of Israel, he would have blasted the Vice President and the Secretary of State for meeting Netanyahu's main opponent on February 7th in Germany.

I am not saying that Steve Israel is a hater of the Jewish State, he is just so wrapped up in kissing up to the President that he doesn't care. He is nothing but a political hack who is not brave enough to stand up for what's right...all he cares about is advancing his political career.
