(An Election Plea To Those Who Love Israel 11/2/08)-S

On Sunday November 2, 2008--two days before the Presidential election, this site featured a post called An Election Plea To Those Who Love Israel where I warned of the danger an Obama presidency for Israel.  Sadly the general conclusions were correct.  After reading the post again this morning I thought it appropriate to share for a few reasons. First it explains why Obama is attacking Netanyhu for something he didn't say.

Secondly it will remind people it's not what a candidate says, but who they associate with, get advice from and what they have done previously which instructs what their position will be after they are elected.  In the future it means be very cautious of Hillary Clinton who except for the period she was the Senator from NY has never been a supporter of the Jewish State, and Jeb Bush who counts amongst his foreign policy advisers James Baker who as Secretary of State once famously said, "F**k the Jews, they wont vote for us anyway. Actually when HW Bush ran the first time he earned 36% of the Jewish Vote, after four years of James Baker as Sec. of State Bush earned the lowest total since Barry Goldwater with only 11% of the vote.

Please re-read the post below which explains what is happening now and instructive of what can happen in the future:

An Election Plea To Those Who Love Israel

Whether he wins or loses, all signs point to the fact is Barack Obama will receive the majority of the Jewish vote in the presidential elections. But even a few percentage point shift in the Jewish vote can mean a McCain win in some of the key battleground states.

The astounding part of that is that Obama is receiving the vote DESPITE the fact that he has assembled a crew of advisers that have a negative opinion of Israel. Despite that a Barack Obama presidency may turn out to be the most anti-Israel administration since George HW Bush.

Please take a look at these people allied with the Obama Campaign, Some of them are Anti-Israel others are Anti-Semitic AND Anti-Israel:
  • Then there is Merrill A. McPeak. He said that the only reason there is not Mid-East peace in the world is American Jews.
  • Daniel Kurtzer, an Orthodox Jew, was one of Secretary of State James " F**K the Jews" Baker's team of Anti-Israel "Jew Boys."
  • Joe Cirincione thought that talk of a Syrian Nuclear in the desert was nonsense. Immediately following Israel's air raid this past September, Cirincione listed "Israelis [who] want to thwart any dialogue between the U.S. and Syria" as among those spreading rumors Syria was constructing a nuclear facility.
  • How about Senator Hagel who went with Obama on his little trip to Israel. He is one of the two or three MOST Anti-Israel Senators.
Some of you may be thinking, "Just another guilt by association charge." Let me tell you why you are wrong. These are all people that Obama has chosen to surround himself with, not accidental encounters.

Beyond Obama's Anti-Jew Crew of advisers the real truth is, if you take a look at the platforms the two major parties are running on, you will find some REAL and uncomfortable differences between the two candidates.

This month's Journal of International Security Affairs, Michael Oren, a senior fellow at the Shalem Center makes an Item by Item comparison of the "Jewish Issues" in the both campaign's platforms. On important issues from appeasing terrorists, to Iran, to Jerusalem, settlements etc., the Republican platform has positions much more favorable to the Jewish State.

Folks the truth is that I had many issues with the way George W. Bush ran middle east policy. But there are a few things that are clear. Bush was the first president that considered a terrorist attack in Israel just as bad as one elsewhere it the world. He constantly supported Israel’s right to defend itself against terror, and praised her as America’s number one ally in the Middle East. He also authorized an unprecedented level of cooperation between the U.S. military and the Israel Defense Forces including intelligence sharing, anti-terror training, and the joint development of missile defense systems.

A Barack Obama Presidency would return US/Israel relations back to the days of James Baker's "They have my number they can call me." A US trying to impose a dangerous one-sided solution on the Jewish State.

A John McCain Presidency will use the George W. Bush solution as a starting point and create an even closer relationship with Israel.

Folks the Choice is yours, The future of Israel and the Jewish People may depend on it.

I watched the trailer and the only thing I can say is that I really want to see this movie. I don't think I'll get to though. It sounds too conservative, too patriotic, too right for the MSM to allow this movie to go mainstream. Hopefully there will be a pathway. Perhaps it will go like "The Interview," on Netflix or Amazon.

I guess we'll see

If it gets into wider distribution it will be as popular as Sniper. The left tries to keep movies about the actual fight for liberty over tyranny from being made and from ever getting in the theaters, but if the movies get made and they do get to the theaters, the leftists can't stop people from seeing them, and the movies always succeed.

The defeat of the TET offensive destroyed the communists in the south (the Viet Cong) and the defeat of the Easter Offensive (with no U.S. ground troops, only financial support and air support), proved that the South Vietnamese were more than a match for any invasion from the north (especially since the North was seriously weakened by the vast failed attempt).

At that point the war on the ground was already won. Then our traitorous Democrats snatched defeat from the jaws of victory by barring any further U.S. assistance to our already victorious allies. Pure evil. The most evil deed ever committed by a free people, until 2007 when the Democrats voted 40 times to snatch defeat from the jaws of our victorious military in Iraq by defunding the Iraq war.

They failed to hand victory to al Qaeda/ISIS at that time, but the most determined and consistent enemy of U.S. victory in Iraq was Barack Hussein Obama, who handed Iraq over to the Islamofascists after he was elected. So now we have another challenger for the title of most evil deed ever committed by a free people: the election (twice!) of the racist, communist, Islamofascist Obama. (Hitler's rise to power WOULD win the title, if it had been an actual majority choice of the German people, but Reichstag fire and all, it really wasn't.)

Vietnam actually could have been won ten years earlier, in the early and mid 60's. That is the subject of Mark Moyer's book Triumph Forsaken:

The B52 strikes against the Ho Chi Minh trail were actually highly successful, when they were used, but instead of using them with the goal of achieving victory LBJ only allowed them to be used sparingly and intermittently to keep the war from being lost.

He felt that the bombing hurt his political standing with the Democratic party elite whose support he needed to pass his Great Society welfare state, and he didn't actually care about victory in Vietnam. Politically he was probably closer to the North Vietnamese than the South Vietnamese. So he failed to take full advantage of a military tool that had already proved it could stop the North from bringing war to the south.
