Who Gave Kofi Annan the Fake Torah?
That is, until today when studying the Torah parsha Shoftim, and I read these words:
You shall not judge unfairly: you shall show no partiality; you shall not take bribes, for bribes blind the eyes of the discerning and upset the plea of the just. Justice, justice shall you pursue.I looked up and thought to myself, “betcha Kofi Annan never read Shoftim.” Then in a flash I realized I had been wrong all along! . Of course Kofi has read Shoftim, in fact I am sure that he is familiar with the bibles of most of the worlds faiths. After all, he is a great diplomat, and he has studied religions toknow what’s behind the motivation of nations. What must have happened is that somebody must have slipped Kofi a bad Torah – as a prank. That would explain it all! You need a high moral standard to become the number one diplomat of the world--- a strong sense of fairness and equality! The only way to explain Kofi's behavior is that he got his Torah translation from the same folks that invented the whoopee cushion.
Look at the evidence!
- You shall not judge unfairly The great diplomat’s copy of Shoftim probably says, You shall judge unfairly: Remember when Israel accidentally bombed a UN post at Khiyam on the Lebanon border, Kofi was in Rome when he found out about the incident. Without even checking any facts out he blasted the bombing as intentional.
I am shocked and deeply distressed by the apparently deliberate targeting by Israeli Defense Forces of a United Nations observer post in southern Lebanon that has killed two United Nations military observers, with two more feared dead.
If Kofi had a good Torah, he would have gotten his facts straight before he issued that statement. Within twenty-four hours of his outburst, it became clear that Hezbollah was firing from right next to the outpost, and that the UN force inside had been complaining about the crossfire.
- You shall show no partiality. Through out his term, Annan has skewed his statements AGAINST Israel. When Israel made a post ceasefire incursion into Lebanon to break up supply routes, the UN leader complained that Israel broke the truce. Isn’t it strange that the great man of peace did not mention that the agreement called for Hezbollah to disarm and Israel to defend itself? In actuality it was Hezbollah and the Lebanese Army breaking the truce. Its not strange when realize that someone slipped him a fake text.
- You shall not take bribes, for bribes blind the eyes of the discerning and upset the plea of the just, UN Oil for food...Kofi’s son…nuff said!
- Justice, justice shall you pursue. Kofi has been slow on getting involved in Darfur, weak on condemning terrorism, and feels that captured terrorists who have targeted civilians should be traded for two soldiers who were on patrol in their own county. I am sure that his Torah must say: Justice, Justice, Fuhgeddaboutit!
I make this appeal to the prankster. Please! Admit your mistake--- replace the funky Torah with a real one---No Questions Asked. Peace and truth rest in your hands.
Pat Buchanan’s New Book
I agree that something must be done to protect the US borders. But Buchanan’s new book isn’t about protecting our porous borders with Mexico, or even abolut illegal immegration; Its about the fact that he is afraid that there will be too many people with darker skin in this county. He is both a bigot and a bully.

(Manchester, NH Union Leader, December 15, 1991).Now Pat is going after the Hispanics. His book talks about a Mexican plot to take over the Southern US, he cites statistics from the LAPD about Illegal Immigrant murderers, statistics that DON’T EVEN EXIST. I am surprised and disappointed at Fox and Sean Hannity for putting this bully on his program.

I think the planet Pluto got screwed! The only consolation is that Disney reports that Pluto will still be a cute cartoon dog.

I agree both with the idea that America must have secure borders (and also enforce its immigration laws) and that Pat Buchanan is, at best, a fringe wacko. However it is well documented that there is a "Reconquista" movement alive and well among the left in Mexico. It may, like Pat, be fringe - but it is there. America needs to focus, however, not on the race of those who seek to cross her borders, but on seeing to it that those people do it legally - and that those who pose a threat to national security, and those who would scoff at American law, are kept out.
