Jew TV:The New Season

As you probably know, the new TV season begins in just a few days. What you may not know is that some of the shows have Jewish Themes. For example, CBS has finally found a follow up to its hit show Everyone Loves Raymond. Its called Everyone Hates the Jews and stars Mel Gibson as a famous sportswriter trying to hide his hatred of Jews from the world. Each episode will have a guest bigot who tries to convince Mel to “come out of the closet.” Already signed on as guests are Gerry Adams, leader of the IRA, Louis Farrakhan from the Nation of Islam and in a one hour special the leadership of the liberal Democratic political organization, Moveon.com, whose Action Forum, has talked about "media owning Jewish pigs," "Zionazis," a reference to the senator as "Jew Lieberman" and has asked the question, "Why are the Jews so Jew-y?"

The reality show Survivor has gotten lots of criticism for its new format, pitting four teams against each other along racial lines. They will continue to break ground with its next installment, Survivor Catskills. The cast of this version will be all Jewish men The four teams will be organized as following, Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, and those who would rather die then set foot in any of those Shuls. Some of the “immunity challenges” on this survivor are incredibly arduous. The competitors actually have to use hand tools and make household repairs by themselves. There are the emotional challenges, for instance they are forced to call their mothers and explain to them why they aren’t wearing sweaters even though temperatures have fallen below 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

Joining the CBS line up is another spin-off of the popular show CSI. This one entitled CSI: Human Rights Watch has a rotating cast. Each week the focus is on a different human rights organization and how they examine evidence and twist it against Israel. The first episode takes a look at Amnesty International’s recent report about the war in Lebanon. Its focus is on the wordsmiths, who made up international law when they decried Israel’s attack on infrastructure was a war crime. In an unusual move, former Democratic President Jimmy Carter comes to TV. He plays the lead character, Tom Arabast, who comes up with the term “disproportionate response’ to describe the bombing of terrorist re-supply routes by the IAF. Also in that episode, Carter’s character sneaks into the AI computer records to delete all references to Hezbollah and the Palestinians using their children as human shields, and adds the words “but we don’t really mean it” to every recorded quote by Islamic terrorists calling for the destruction of Israel….talk about typecasting.

CSPAN has developed its first original documentary and by all accounts it will be a doozy. Called Democrats Say the Silliest Things, it a looks at the party that may take over after the coming mid term elections. The show will examine comments in the Daily Kos, the very influential Democratic Party blog, such as:

“Jews only care about the welfare of other Jews . . . Ignore all the Jewish propaganda about participating in the civil rights movement of the 60s."

It will also look at comments made by Democrats in power such as former Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry. At the recent John Bolton confirmation hearings. The Democratic leader repeatedly criticized Bolton for the fact that America is consistently the odd-man out at the United Nations, and stands outside the consensus of our European "allies." He is talking about that consensus lead by France who first agreed to send in its troops to help disarm Hezbollah and then (as is its tradition) turned chicken.

The Impeachment of President Bush, will be special on CNN. This is a broadcast of an actual “mock” impeachment of President Bush held by the Democratic members of the house judiciary committee at the DNC headquarters early last summer. These mock hearings had a party like atmosphere:

“At Democratic headquarters, where an overflow crowd watched the hearing on television, activists handed out documents repeating two accusations -- that an Israeli company had warning of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and that there was an ‘insider trading scam’ on 9/11 -- that previously has been used to suggest Israel was behind the attacks."
(“Democrats Play House at Rally Against the War,” Dana Milbank, The Washington Post, June 17, 2005)

Participants in that mock trial included Democratic Congressman Jim Moran, who has said the reason for the invasion of Iraq is that President Bush was trying to protect Israel.

‘If it were not for the strong support of the Jewish community for this war with Iraq we would not be doing this,’ he [Moran] said at the event, organized by the Greater Reston Interfaith Peace Coalition, according the Reston Connection newspaper. ‘The leaders of the Jewish community are influential enough that they could change the direction of where this is going, and I think they should.’” (The Washington Times, Mar. 12, 2003)

Perhaps the number one upcoming television program this year will be shown in November. It’s called Election Results. On this show we find out which party will be in control of Congress. Will it the Republican Party which views Israel as a key ally in the war against Islamic fascism? Or will it be the Democrats, the party of Jimmy Carter, Jim Moran and John Kerry, the party taken over by the radical Anti Israel leftists of the Daily Kos and Moveon.com. While Jews may be one of the smaller groups in this program’s audience, it may very well be the most effected by its outcome.
