Eric Cantor's Office Shot, Tells Dems,"Stop Fanning the Flames of Violence" Pence Adds His Outrage at Dem Fear-Mongering

An angry Eric Cantor stepped up the microphone today to talk about the bullet was shot through the window of his Richmond, Va., campaign office on Monday , and that he's gotten threatening emails.
"I've received threats since I assumed elected office, not only because of my positions, but because I am Jewish," Cantor said.[As House Republican whip, Cantor is the highest elected Jewish politician in the country.]  "I've never blamed anyone in this body for that. Period. Any suggestion that a leader in this body that would incite threats or acts against other members is akin to saying that i would endanger myself, my wife or my children."
"I will not release them because I believe such actions will only encourage more to be sent," he said.
He said to do so (as some as many Democrat's have  done over the past few days) would be reckless.
"It is reckless to use these incidents as media vehicles for political gain," he said. He called out DCCC Chair Chris Van Hollen and DNC Chair Tim Kaine by name as those who are "dangerously fanning the flames by suggesting that these incidents be used as a political weapon."
"To use such threats against members of congress is not a partisan issue," he said. "By ratcheting up the rhetoric some will only inflame these situations to dangerous levels.
Cantor Ended with a forceful "Enough is Enough, this has to stop!"

The Department of Homeland Security is involved in the Cantor case because he is a member of the House leadership. U.S. Capitol Police already provide Cantor with a security detail around the clock because of his leadership position, but he has asked for more security.

Since Sunday's vote on Obamacare, Democrats have been coming out of the woodwork with claims of threats. There is no doubt that some of them are true. And the true ones are disgusting and should not be tolerated.Other congressmen have piled on with claims that the Progressive movement as well as their lapdogs in the media are using as an attempt to try to smear the tea party movement.

This morning Congressman Mike Pence admonished those who use any threats as an excuse to Bash the Tea Party Movement.

“...that is no excuse for bigotry, threats or acts of vandalism and I condemn such things in the strongest possible terms. People who engage in such acts undermine our cause and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

“But I also rise to condemn the efforts to smear millions of law abiding Americans who oppose ObamaCare by associating them and their principled opposition with these criminal acts.

“The American people have every right to oppose this government takeover of health care without being lumped in with bigots and vandals by liberals in Congress and in the mainstream press.

“I say to my countrymen:

“End the threats.

“End the vandalism.

“And let’s also end the smears of law-abiding citizens exercising their first amendment right to speech and peaceable assembly."
