Obama's Counterterror Adviser Brennan Says "Jihad is a Legitimate Tenet of Islam"

If you want to know what is wrong with the United States Counter-Terrorism efforts you need not go any further than this statement made by Obama's Counter-Terrorism adviser John Brennan last night during a speech at Center for Strategic and International Studies, when he said (see video below) that "...we [the Obama regime] will not use the term Jihad, because:
"Nor do we describe our enemy as 'jihadists' or 'Islamists' because jihad is a holy struggle, a legitimate tenet of Islam, meaning to purify oneself or one's community, and there is nothing holy or legitimate or Islamic about murdering innocent men, women and children,

Legitimate in who's eyes? Even if "Jihad" is acceptable within Islam, its present form, terrorism, is not acceptable in the civilized world. On those videos he distributes Osama bin Laden uses the word Jihad to describe his terrorist acts against innocents? Is that "Legitimate" Mr Brennan.
"Moreover, describing our enemy in religious terms would lend credence to the lie propagated by Al Qaeda and its affiliates to justify terrorism -- that the United States is somehow at war against Islam," he said.
Its time to wake-up and smell the Memorial Day Barbecue, we ARE at war against Islam, not all of Islam but a radical wing of Islam that wants to blow us into little pieces.

This comes on top of a February speech in which he described his respect for the tolerance and devotion of Middle Eastern nations, referred to Jerusalem by its Arabic name, Al-Quds.
"In all my travels the city I have come to love most is al-Quds, Jerusalem, where three great faiths come together," Brennan said at an event co-sponsored by the White House Office of Public Engagement and the Islamic Center at New York University and the Islamic Law Students Association at NYU.
This is the guy who is in charge of President Obama's Counter-terrorism efforts? Unfortunately Brennan's words fit right in with the rest of the administration. They are fiddling around with semantics as not to identify our enemy, and all the while Rome is burning.
