Its not even a REAL-FAKE Cease Fire

Usually when the Palestinians declare a cease fire, they try to maintain the pretence of peaceful intent. But since six o'clock yesterday when another one of those "fake cease fires" was declared there hasn't even been a pretense of a move toward peace. Fern from the aloneinpublic blog emailed me, and said, "this isn't even a real fake cease fire, its a fake-fake cease fire.

And she is absolutely right! Look at what has happened since yesterday at six
:
  • Rockets--at least eleven fired toward Israel...OOPS, make that thirteen. Carl from Israel Matzav just reported:
Two more Kassams land in Sderot Despite the hudna, two more Kassams landed in Sderot today, and 'moderate' Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen's Fatah's al-Aksa Martyrs Brigade has taken responsibility. But some 'Palestinians' claim that it was really another group wearing the al-Aksa team's uniform
Although the Al-Aksa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Fatah party, claimed responsibility for the attack, many in the Palestinian Authority said that the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) were actually the ones responsible as it was one of their group who was killed by IDF forces late Sunday night.
  • Rejection of Treaty by the "official" terrorists (as opposed the the "political wings") despite Abbas' assurances that they have all agreed to it:
From Arutz ShevaThe Army of Islam, a small but active terror organization, released a statement Sunday night which made it clear that not all terror groups had agreed to the ceasefire, contrary to statements made by the PA leadership Saturday night.“The Army of Islam does not recognize the truce,” said the statement, according to the AFP news agency. “We warn whoever prevents us from fighting the Jews." A ceasefire agreement allegedly coordinated Saturday between all terrorist organizations in the Palestinian Authority territories went into effect on Sunday morning at 6:00 a.m.
Within hours, the Islamic Jihad and Fatah-linked Abu Rish Brigades groups both said they would continue firing rockets against Israel’s southern communities
  • Terrorist announcement that they will use the cease-fire to rearm for next fight against Israeli citizens
In a series of exclusive interviews with Aaron Klein of WorldNetDaily, terrorist leaders said the ceasefire – which was broken within two hours after it allegedly went into effect at 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning – will be used to smuggle weapons into Gaza, reinforce and train “fighter units” and produce rockets for a future confrontation with the Jewish State.
Abu Abdullah, a senior leader of Hamas' so-called "military wing," told WorldNetDaily Hamas agreed to the cease fire "because we need a period of calm to recuperate. This lull in fighting will not bring us to speak about peace."
  • Terrorist reiteration of their objective: to destroy Israel
Earlier Monday, a leader of the Islamic Jihad in Jenin, Mahmoud Al Saadi, threatened that his organization would carry out suicide bombings deep inside Israeli territory. Al Saadi called on his counterparts in Gaza to reject the fledgling truce unless it covered all the Palestinian territories and warned that his group might launch a suicide attack on Israel."We live in the same homeland and it is forbidden to divide our homeland, " he said in a statement.

JPost reports that while Olmert is lost in space, the defense department knows exactly what is going on:

High-ranking defense officials expressed skepticism that the truce would last, saying it was just a matter of time before the IDF returned to combat terrorism in the Gaza Strip. "It is fragile and unstable," a senior defense official involved in the talks with the Palestinians told The Jerusalem Post when describing the truce. "It is more problematic than reliable."

Like just about everthing else he has done since he took over, the leaning tower of jello, Prime Minister Olmert, has mis-managed this cease fire.

Once again this man with absolutely no military experience has not listened to his military people who wanted to destroy the terrorist infrastructure before any cease-fire. Jpost reported that the IDF is not happy with the agreement.
The IDF is suspicious of the terrorist organizations' true intent for accepting the cease-fire and stopping the Kassam attacks on the Western Negev. While some defense officials cited US President George W. Bush's scheduled visit to Jordan on Wednesday as one motive for the respite in violence, most IDF and defense officials agreed that a large-scale, brigade-level operation planned to be launched on Tuesday was the real reason. The Palestinians were scared of the consequences and now with the cease-fire those plans have been suspended.
With financial support from Teheran and direct logistic support from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Hamas has, according to MI, built up a 10,000-strong military in Gaza. Split into four brigades - corresponding to four sections of the Gaza Strip - it is well trained and equipped with top-tier antitank missiles, high-grade explosives and even antiaircraft missiles, all smuggled into Gaza from Egypt.
Despite the continued rocket attacks, despite the fact that even wings of Hamas has rejected the cease fire, despite the fact that the IDF is concerned about a build-up of terrorist infrastructure, Olmert made a speech today, extending his hand in peace, and offering a Palestinian state. Completely capitulating to the terrorists. Once again proving --never trust a man with a lousy comb-over.

I agree with Likud MK Yuval Steinitz who slammed Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's call on the Palestinians renounce violence and engage in peace talks with Israel, charging that his overtures signal the "end of Israel's tradition of to fight terror decisively."
"The prime minister is offering hills and mountains … to a Hamas government and parliament, which breached all agreements and ceasefires,"
