Joe Klein. Your Grandma Would Be Ashamed of You

In his latest blog post Joe Klein of Time Magazine, once again uses his soap box for unsupported allegations about the Jewish Community. At one point he even uses his "bubbie" (grandma) for support:

You want evidence of divided loyalties? How about the "benign domino theory" that so many Jewish neoconservatives talked to me about--off the record, of course--in the runup to the Iraq war, the idea that Israel's security could be won by taking out Saddam, which would set off a cascade of disaster for Israel's enemies in the region? As my grandmother would say, feh! Do you actually deny that the casus belli that dare not speak its name wasn't, as I wrote in February 2003, a desire to make the world safe for Israel? Why the rush now to bomb Iran, a country that poses some threat to Israel but none--for the moment--to the United States...unless we go ahead, attack it, and the mullahs unleash Hezbollah terrorists against us? Do you really believe the mullahs would stage a nuclear attack on Israel, destroying the third most holy site in Islam and killing untold numbers of Muslims? I am not ruling out the use of force against Iran--it may come to that--but you folks seem to embrace it gleefully.
Gee Joe, your Grandma is probably VERY ashamed of you. But then it can't be a new phenomenon. I am sure she couldn't have been proud of Primary Colors, the way you bashed the Clintons in such a sleazy anonymous way.

And now you are trying to create Anti-Semitism, just to make a buck. Pushing the dual loyalty stereotype that the haters love to recite. More Jew hatred can be the only result of your bogus claims of dual loyalty of the Jewish community. THERE IS NOT ONE IOTA OF EVIDENCE SUPPORTING YOUR POSITION. NOT ONE! You surely don't give any on your blog.

Joe, let me ask you a question. Why would the American Jewish Community push for a War in Iraq when all the evidence supports the fact that the Israeli government argued that America shouldn't invade Iraq? They argued that it would hurt the efforts to disarm IRAN.

Former United Stated Undersecretary of Defense Douglas Feith told Ynet:

Addressing claims that Israel pushed the US Administration into the war, Feith said "I never saw that. What you heard from Israeli officials in private discussions was that they were not really focused on Iraq," Feith said. "They were much more focused on Iran."When asked why Israel did not publicly object to military action in Iraq, he said this was a result of the strong relationship between Israeli officials and the Bush Administration.

"The relationship between Bush and Israel was so strong and so friendly that the Israeli government was not going to join Germany and French in opposing the US," Feith said, and added that "what you heard from the Israelis was not any kind of advocacy of war with Iraq."

Feith said that he heard "constant (Israeli) emphasis on the importance of the Iran danger" and added that Israel was worried about a scenario that ended up materializing, namely that "if the US got into a military conflict in Iraq and it didn’t go well, it could make our diplomacy with Iran less credible."
You see Joe, I believe that you are so in love with the all mighty dollar that you would throw your poor Bubbie under the bus for a quarter. I wish there was some ideology involved, but you are the ultimate cynic, shooting your own for some readership and cash. That doesn't make you an anti-Semite, or even a self hating Jew. Just a low-life scumbag and your Bubbie can't be too proud of that.

It's Joe Klein's type that created the antisemitic stereotype of the Jew who would anything for money. I hope for his mother's sake (if she's still around) and his sisters (if he has any) that he doesn't decide to pimp them off somewhere.

What a sleaze bag!
