Hillary Clinton Gets Her Bible All Wrong At AIPAC Meeting

Hillary Clinton continued the Obama administration's attacks on Israel during her speech at the American Israel Political Action Committee (AIPAC) convention:

New construction in East Jerusalem or the West Bank undermines mutual trust and endangers the proximity talks that are the first step toward the full negotiations that both sides want and need. It exposes daylight between Israel and the United States that others in the region could hope to exploit. And it undermines America's unique ability to play a role - an essential role, I might add -- in the peace process. Our credibility in this process depends in part on our willingness to praise both sides when they are courageous, and when we don't agree, to say so, and say so unequivocally.

We objected to this announcement because we are committed to Israel and its security, which depends on a comprehensive peace. Because we are determined to keep moving forward along a path that ensures Israel's future as a secure and democratic Jewish state living in peace with its Palestinian neighbors, who can realize their own legitimate aspirations. And because we do not want to see that progress jeopardized.

....The United States stands ready to play an active and sustained role in Israeli-Palestinian talks, and to support the parties as they work to resolve all permanent status issues including security, borders, refugees, and Jerusalem. The United States cannot force a solution.

No the Obama/Clinton  strategy is much more nefarious, delegitimize Israel as a nation. For example she began to speak as if she didn't realize that the past five prime ministers had accepted a "Two state solution"

"....Given this reality, a two-state solution is the only viable path for Israel to remain both a democracy and a Jewish state. Second, we cannot be blind to the political implications of continued conflict. There is a struggle between those in the region who accept peace and coexistence with Israel, and those who reject it and seek only continued violence. The status quo strengthens the rejectionists who claim peace is impossible and weakens those who would accept coexistence.

She finished her story with a bible allegory that was totally wrong for the situation.

We are entering the season of Passover. The story of Moses resonates for people of all faiths. It teaches us many lessons, including that we must take risks, even a leap of faith, to reach the promised land. When Moses urged the Jews to follow him out of Egypt, many objected. They said it was too dangerous, too hard, too risky. And later, in the desert, some thought it would be better to return to Egypt. It was too dangerous, too hard, too risky. And when they came to the very edge of the promised land, there were still some who refused to enter because it was too dangerous, too hard, and too risky.

The Obama administrations call to stop the natural expansion of "settlements" especially in Jerusalem is like a declaration by the Sec of State that Jews living in Judea, Samaria or Jerusalem can't have children,  or at the very least, can't have their children live near them. It may not be what she said but the result is the same.

if she is going to tell a story from Exodus, maybe she should tell the part where the Pharaoh agreed to release the Israelites to leave Egypt to pray to God but only if they left their kids back in Egypt as collateral.

An even better Biblical reference would be a verse that happens much earlier in Exodus. One that would describe what happened to American/Israel relations since Obama and Clinton took over.

Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who knew not Joseph.  And he said unto his people: 'Behold, the people of the children of Israel are too many and too mighty for us; come, let us deal wisely with them, lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there befalleth us any war, they also join themselves unto our enemies, and fight against us, and get them up out of the land. Exodus Chapter 1, verses 8-10

Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton are like the King Pharaoh who Knew not Joseph.  They look at Israel not as strategic ally, but a country that is the last boundary preventing the US from making peace with the Islamic Terrorists, and a country they have to be nice to, just to get the Jewish vote in November.  Unfortunately they are most naive in their beliefs and the US moves against Israel since January 2009  is putting the US and Israel in great danger.
