FNC's Cavuto Sends Another Progressive Into the Loony Bin: AFL-CIO Economist Calls Him A**Hole

Here's a little secret, while most progressives will yell about Glenn Beck or Bill O' Reilly, the toughest interviewer on Fox News is Neil Cavuto. When a guest tries to give Cavuto a load of bull, he is expert showing them the flaws in their logic, making them look so silly that they often  crawl into the nearest corner, cry out in long forgotten ancient tongues or just drool.  That's how he turned Alan Grayson into an drooling idiot last year, and that's what he did today Ron Blackwell - the chief economist for the AFL-CIO

Blackwell was on Cavuto's 4pm program on FNC trying to make a case that the now $800+ billion stimulus last year wasn't enough and more is needed. Basically the same position as Economist Paul Krugman, and Nazi collaborator and Obama puppeteer George Soros.

Cavuto,  asked an simple question, why spend more stimulus dollars when the first one didn't work.
"You're not creating the jobs, with all this money you're wanting us to spend - then why should we keep digging? What's wrong with saying let's put the shovel down - that's not working?"
"I'm answering you right now - these programs did create jobs but not net creation," Blackwell said. "We lost more jobs because of the recession than were created by these programs. Net, gross - is that a complex idea for you?"

"Ron, you're the chief economist there," Cavuto replied. "Where did you get your degree, a baking school? Where are you cooking up these numbers? The fact is we spent a trillion dollars..."
That's when the union guy started twitching:
"Oh, that's an insult," Blackwell said. "Forget about it. You're a joker - you're an asshole."

The two followed up with another series of exchanges, but Blackwell was unwilling to concede the failure of last year's stimulus to live up to its billing.

"[A]nd we've not seen results from that money," Cavuto said. "And now you're saying it could have been worse had we not."

"I just told you that we have seen results," Blackwell said.

"So your answer to just answering a simple question is to curse at me, or to frame it differently, or to obfuscate the facts, or to ignore the facts with a trillion dollars spent and we haven't seen any net new jobs and you're answer is, ‘Well, we have to spend more?'" Cavuto said.

"We lost more jobs because of the recession than we created by these programs," Blackwell said. "Gross and net - it's not a complex idea. You should have learned that in high school, Neil."

I don't want to give you the impression that Cavuto only goes after Democrats, he has shown Ron Paul to be a hypocrite by pointing out the fact that the congressman loads bills with earmarks, and then votes against them, so he looks like a cost cutter.

Or when he challenged former Congressman Joe Knollenberg (R-Michigan), reminding him that he was spending OUR money.

Cavuto seems to be the interviewer who asks the challenging question that we want to ask, or the query that protects the average Joe.  Mr. Blackwell may be right, Cavuto may be an a**hole, but he is OUR a**hole.
