I met with the president in the Oval Office, just the two of us… Here’s what the president said. “The problem is,” he said, "If we secure the border, then you all won’t have any reason to support comprehensive immigration reform. In other words they’re holding it hostage. They don’t want to secure the border unless and until it is combined with comprehensive immigration reform. I explained, “You and I have an obligation to secure the border. That’s an obligation. It also has some potentially positive benefits. You don’t have to have comprehensive immigration to secure the border, but you have to have a secure border to get comprehensive immigration reform. You may be surprised, maybe you don’t think that there’d be any more incentive, but I’m not so sure that that’s true. In any event, it doesn’t matter we’re supposed to secure the border."As expected the White House reacted with complete denial, Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer said:
“The President didn’t say that and Senator Kyl knows it. There are more resources dedicated toward border security today than ever before, but, as the President has made clear, truly securing the border will require a comprehensive solution to our broken immigration system.”That statement sounded familiar, so I checked back into my archives and found:
... Feb. 19, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported, “A White House spokesman this morning strongly denied an offer had been made to Sestak. Before the spokesman issued the denial, a senior Pennsylvania Democrat said Sestak's account was met with anger by White House officials yesterday.”Senator Kyl's spokesman Ryan Patmintra, responded with:
"There were two people in that meeting, and Dan Pfeiffer was not one of them. Senator Kyl stands by his remarks, and the White House spokesman’s push-back that you must have comprehensive immigration reform to secure the border only confirms Senator Kyl’s account."Mr Patmintra is correct there was only two people in that meeting, however, the last time the White House gave a denial when there was only two people in a meeting, America was lied to. Forgive me If I am suspicious of the WH response.

Joe Sestak, Andrew Romanoff, Jon Kyl, everyone who has ever spoken with Obama is lying.... or Obama is.
