Senate Hasn't Yet Convened But Chuck Schumer is Already Acting Stupid!

There are some really good things about living in New York State, our senior Senator is not one of them. Chuck Schumer is an embarrassment, every time he starts to open there is an involuntary gag reflex.  The man does not care about the United States, he is 100% self serving partisan who has never met a TV camera or radio microphone that he didn't want to make passionate love to (as long as there wasn't a mirror).  You see, party partisanship is only Schumer's second priority his first priority is Chuck Schumer.

Little Chuckies latest partisan move was a demand that all Republican members of Congress who oppose last year's health care legislation to decline health coverage for themselves and their families.
"It was a central value to us when we passed health care, and a central value to the American people, that members of Congress should get the same health care as everyone else," Schumer told POLITICO this morning. "It seems unfair that house Republicans want to deprive middle-class Americans of the same health care as members of Congress but to keep it for themselves."
"Will Eric Cantor urge every Republican who is going to be for repeal to not take government health care themselves and to drop their existing health care?" he asked.
Here's why Schumer's call is nothing more than the usual Schumer camera-grabbing political stunt. There is nothing wrong with someone accepting a health insurance plan from their employer.  In fact it is that system of employer-sponsored health care coverage from private-sector companies that Obamacare is meant to disrupt. The president's claim that you will not have to move away from your current employer-sponsored plan has been proven false many times over.

Eric Cantor's spokesman Brad Dayspring responded to Schumer:
“This shows a fundamental misunderstanding of health care in America, which isn’t shocking from people like Senator Schumer who are responsible for the ObamaCare disaster. But if Senator Schumer wants to operate in the world of the illogical, we assume that he, Leader Reid, and Rep. Pelosi will be giving up their own health care since it doesn’t include the public option. We also assume that all three will refuse to accept the extension of current tax rates and volunteer to pay higher taxes for the next two years.”
If Chuck Schumer was not a United States Senator, he would be one of those slimy lawyers who chase ambulances and funeral processions ignoring the feelings of crash victims and/or their families just so he can hand off his business cards and gain more business.

But Politics was the NY Senator's chosen profession, instead of chasing ambulances he chases TV  cameras so he can get air time, instead of ignoring the feelings of crash victims, he ignores the feelings of voters. Chuck Schumer helped to push through the Obamacare program over the wishes of the American people, and now instead of finally opening his ears to the wishes of the people, he is making ridiculous demands.

The arrogance of Chuck Schumer is the arrogance of all progressives, he knows better than the rest of us, he doesn't work for the voters but only for himself and his cronies. Voters are to be treated like ignorant children, to be talked at just to be "mined" for votes. This is just one more example.
