The President has been criticized for not facing the tough probing questions of the mainstream media, well criticize no more. Yesterday Barack Obama sat down for a hard hitting interview with Nancy O' Dell of Entertainment Tonight, that bastion probing hard hitting journalism.
Some news was made though, the President distanced himself from Joe Biden's the GOP is going to put ya'll in chains comment.
NANCY O’DELL, ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT: “Sarah Palin coming out and saying that you should replace Biden with Hillary after his chains comment?”
PRESIDENT OBAMA: “Actually, I hadn't heard it.”
O’DELL: “This is the first time you heard of it? What do you think of it?”
OBAMA: “You know, look, we don't spend a lot of time worrying about the chatter. You know, the country's not as divided or obsessed with gaffes or some stray remark as Washington is.”

O’DELL: “When you first heard that Biden had made the comment, that they were going to put y'all back in chains, when you heard it was phrased that way, what was your reaction?”
OBAMA: “What Joe Biden was talking about, again, is an example of a substantive argument, a substantive issue that the American people should be concerned about, and his phrasing is a distraction from what is at stake.”
A tepid "step away" from Biden's statement at best. But former Virginia Governor Doug Wilder, an Obama supporter SLAMMED the SCHMOTUS chains statement on Fox yesterday.
The President gave a tepid response, Wilder objected strongly and earlier in the day campaign spokesman Stephanie Cutter said the campaign was fine with Biden's statement. Is it me, or does it seem as if President Obama's reelection campaign is being managed as well as the economy?
